1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brett Burrows! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gabriel gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gabriel shoots in and bounces Burrows off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Burrows looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gabriel is stalling in the full guard. Burrows really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gabriel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gabriel throws a big right hand that misses. Gabriel prevents Burrows from getting back to his feet. Gabriel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gabriel's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gabriel postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gabriel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gabriel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Burrows keeping moving, preventing Gabriel from controlling successfully. Gabriel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gabriel looking to pass the guard. Gabriel stands up and waves to Burrows to follow him. Burrows misses with a series of wild punches.

Horrible takedown by Gabriel or perhaps it was just good defense by Burrows which made him look bad. A decent looking cross lands there for Burrows.
It looks like Ricardinho Gabriel has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gabriel is defended easily by Burrows. Burrows lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Gabriel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gabriel tries for a takedown but Burrows manages to get underhooks.

Gabriel seems to have got his legs back now. Gabriel rushes Burrows and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gabriel works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gabriel looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Burrows is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gabriel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Burrows is trying to hold Gabriel in close to prevent damage but Gabriel has managed to pass into half guard.

Gabriel feints and as Burrows raises his hands in defense, Gabriel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gabriel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gabriel controls the position. Gabriel is working to tighten is grip on Burrows's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Burrows has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gabriel is really squeezing tight and eventually Burrows passes out! Gabriel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zanella lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pinheiro moves in looking to clinch but Zanella pushes him off. Pinheiro slips a jab from Zanella. Pinheiro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Pinheiro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pinheiro gets a takedown into half guard. Zanella moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Pinheiro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zanella keeping moving, preventing Pinheiro from controlling successfully. Zanella is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pinheiro defends well. Pinheiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Zanella is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zanella looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pinheiro puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Pinheiro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Let's hope that Pinheiro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Zanella wants to get back to full guard. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pinheiro closes the distance and lands a one-two. Zanella uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pinheiro.

and Pinheiro counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zanella won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zanella manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Zanella wants to improve his position but Pinheiro is controlling well.

Zanella stands and steps away. Pinheiro gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Zanella throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pinheiro. Jab, jab by Zanella - just one landing. Zanella misses with a series of wild punches.
Pinheiro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pinheiro has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Zanella to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pinheiro is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Zanella pulls down on the head and he's put Pinheiro to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Matson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Matson duly obliges. Fury misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Matson checks a leg kick. Matson wants to clinch up but Fury keeps it at a distance. Matson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Matson moves into the clinch. Matson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Matson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fury can pounce on him.
Fury throws a hook but Matson blocks it. Matson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fury can't break the clinch.

Matson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fury slips a straight right by Matson. Matson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fury.

Matson lands a left and a right that send Fury crashing to the mat, dazed. Matson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fury is rocked! Matson shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Fury takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Matson sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Fury bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from del Panther is defended easily by Suarez. del Panther shoots for a takedown but Suarez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Suarez misses with a takedown and del Panther counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. del Panther trying to control the position from guard on top but Suarez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. del Panther tries to free his leg and advance position but Suarez is retaining full guard. del Panther drops back looking for a leg! Suarez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Suarez manages to kick del Panther off! del Panther jumps back into Suarez's guard. del Panther wants to pass the guard but Suarez is keeping the position. Suarez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. del Panther shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. del Panther showed some decent athleticism there. del Panther wants to work for an arm triangle but Suarez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
del Panther is looking for a kimura but Suarez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for del Panther to get the leverage. del Panther trying to pass the guard but Suarez defending well. Suarez wants to improve his position but del Panther is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. del Panther passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Suarez! del Panther lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. del Panther wants to control the pace but Suarez is squirming around nicely. Suarez has left one of his arms exposed and del Panther doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Suarez screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Charuto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Charuto is trying to maintain the position but Hui is very close to passing his half guard. Hui is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hui is thwarting Charuto's attempts to control the position. Hui decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
