1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chev Chelios! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferreira shoots in for a double leg but Chelios sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Chelios connects with a nice looking jab.
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chelios but Chelios pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ferreira shoots in looking for a takedown. Chelios tries to sprawl out of it but Ferreira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chelios manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Ferreira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chelios misses with a looping left. Ferreira ducks under a wild hook from Chelios. Ferreira takes the fight into the clinch. Ferreira prevents Chelios from breaking the clinch. Chelios tries to break free but Ferreira pushes him back against the cage. Ferreira tries to pull guard but Chelios holds him up against the cage and eventually Ferreira drops back down to his feet.
Ferreira keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chelios's efforts to push away.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Chelios's face as he tries to break the clinch. Ferreira jumps guard.
Chelios trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ferreira wants to sweep but no luck. Ferreira is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chelios leaves Ferreira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A slow jab from Chelios misses its intended target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ferreira ducks under a wild hook from Chelios. Chelios throws a jab when Ferreira was well out of range. Ferreira displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chelios throws out the jab. Ferreira moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Pablo Ferreira has been cut. Ferreira shoots in for a takedown but Chelios shows good takedown defense. A jab from Chelios misses. Ferreira takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A big left from Chelios misses. Chelios throws out a loose jab but Ferreira uses good head movement to avoid it. BOOM! Chelios lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ferreira. Ferreira tries to recover but Chelios is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ferreira lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonny Makerov! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makerov throws a jab when Ak was well out of range. Ak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Makerov.
A head kick misses from Ak. Ak closes the distance and clinches up with Makerov, looking for a takedown. Ak pushes Makerov against the cage but Makerov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Makerov has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ak. Makerov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ak counters with a nice low kick that buckles Makerov's knee momentarily. Ak scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Jonny Makerov has been cut. Ak misses with a head kick.
Ak is looking to slow Makerov down with leg kicks. This has been an exciting period of action! Ak drives through with a takedown into Makerov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Makerov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Makerov looks gassed! Ak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Makerov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ak wants to pass the guard but Makerov is keeping the position. Ak connects with a couple of short punches. Ak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Makerov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ak trying to control the position from guard on top but Makerov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ak stands and steps away. Makerov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ak fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ak feints and as Makerov raises his hands in defense, Ak changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ak trying to control but Makerov is working from the bottom. Ak is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Makerov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ak stands and throws Makerov's legs to the side, diving into side control. Makerov is not content to let Ak control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makerov is looking to get back to his feet here but Ak is keeping cool and he's managed to take Makerov's back. Makerov avoids the strikes from Ak. Makerov is keeping busy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ulyanov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Vladimir Ulyanov has been cut. Kraschinsky closes the distance but Ulyanov moves to the side and Ulyanov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kraschinsky trying to control the position but instead, Ulyanov has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kraschinsky into the cage. Ulyanov lands a shoulder strike. Kraschinsky pulls guard successfully.
Kraschinsky manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kraschinsky thuds a left hand into Ulyanov's body. Kraschinsky with a lazy takedown attempt and Ulyanov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kraschinsky won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kraschinsky is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ulyanov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Ulyanov is trying to control. Kraschinsky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kraschinsky kicks off Ulyanov and gets to his feet. Ulyanov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kraschinsky did well to prevent Ulyanov getting side control. Ulyanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kraschinsky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ulyanov is trying to control. Kraschinsky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Kraschinsky manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ulyanov wants to get up but he can't break Kraschinsky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kraschinsky is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kraschinsky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kraschinsky looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ulyanov works over Kraschinsky with some ground and pound from guard. Kraschinsky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ulyanov's guard. Kraschinsky with a flurry of punches that miss. Kraschinsky throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ulyanov is pulling down on Kraschinsky's head. It's preventing any offense from Kraschinsky, at least for the moment. Ulyanov is trying to control the position but Kraschinsky postures up. Ulyanov wants to stand and escape but Kraschinsky is having none of it. Ulyanov wants to control but Kraschinsky passes easily into half guard.
Kraschinsky uses his free foot to push down on Ulyanov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ulyanov. Ulyanov tries to control Kraschinsky's body but Kraschinsky pushes him off. Ulyanov squirms to his side and now Kraschinsky has his back! Kraschinsky throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ulyanov trying to control the hands but Kraschinsky breaks the grip. Ulyanov prevents Kraschinsky from getting a body triangle. I would not like to be Ulyanov right now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kraschinsky looking to break Ulyanov's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ulyanov remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kraschinsky will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Ulyanov holding both Kraschinsky 's hands and preventing any damage. Good control from Kraschinsky.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kraschinsky misses with a head shot. You get the feeling that Ulyanov really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ulyanov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kraschinsky throwing strikes here but Ulyanov is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ulyanov trying to control the position but Kraschinsky manages to sink in the hooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ulyanov acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kraschinsky fails with the takedown and Ulyanov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ulyanov tries to stall but Kraschinsky uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kraschinsky lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ulyanov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kraschinsky keeps the fight on the outside. Ivan Kraschinsky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kraschinsky is defended easily by Ulyanov. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Kraschinsky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kraschinsky on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ulyanov moves into range and clinches up with Kraschinsky.

We're going to have a standup here because Ivan Kraschinsky wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ulyanov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kraschinsky pinned against the cage. Kraschinsky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ulyanov circles away from the clinch attempt and Ulyanov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kraschinsky is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ulyanov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ulyanov's back! Ulyanov is keeping busy.
What can Ulyanov do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Kraschinsky throwing wild punches that miss their target. Kraschinsky keeps control of the position as Ulyanov tries to break free.
Vladimir Ulyanov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ivan Kraschinsky is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ulyanov is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kraschinsky.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ivan Kraschinsky. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kraschinsky, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloane scores with a jab to the head.
Black throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sloane counters with a slapping leg kick. Sloane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Black tries to clinch and Sloane counters with a flying knee. Nice. Black misses with a takedown attempt and Sloane counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Black is lucky that one didn't land flush. Black misses with a lunging right hand
and Sloane counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Black is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sloane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Black tries to clinch but Sloane moves away and Sloane counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Black with a poor takedown and Sloane counters with a good low kick that Black was not able to check. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Black. That's going to take a lot out of him. Black is breathing heavily. Sloane throws a leg kick which misses Black's front leg but catches the back leg as Black tries to avoid it. Sloane slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Black shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sloane sprawls well. Sloane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Black gets slowly back to his feet. Sloane listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Travis Black has been cut. Sloane lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sloane. Sloane lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sloane scores with a decent looking hook. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Black. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Sloane circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Black drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Sloane follows Black to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Balboa not landing any meaningful shots this time. Skeet keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Balboa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Skeet sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balboa sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Skeet defending well though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rocky Balboa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Skeet misses with a left hand and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into guard. Balboa won't allow Skeet to sweep him here. Balboa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Balboa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rompevsky lands a head kick!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rompevsky. Sullivan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rompevsky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sullivan circles away quickly and effectively. Rompevsky connects with a high kick. Sullivan misses with a hook. Rompevsky ducked under it nicely. Sullivan scores with a nice right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rompevsky misses with a left hand and Sullivan counters with a series of strikes. Rompevsky will be more careful next time no doubt. No joy there for Sullivan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sullivan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Rompevsky takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rompevsky takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sullivan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rompevsky has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rompevsky and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Sullivan lands a jab to the nose. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rompevsky throws a poor cross that misses
and Rompevsky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sullivan misses with a wild body shot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rompevsky misses with a head kick.

Sullivan lunges at Rompevsky with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rompevsky's hand. Rompevsky showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sullivan.
Sullivan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A combination from Sullivan does no damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sullivan swinging wildly here.

Sullivan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rompevsky manages to avoid it. Rompevsky moves forwards but Sullivan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That has opened up Mikhail Rompevsky's cut even more. Rompevsky misses with a low kick as Sullivan jumps back. Rompevsky tries to bum rush Sullivan with a series of wild strikes but Sullivan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Rompevsky might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Sullivan has got the better of the exchanges. Sullivan throws out a loose jab but Rompevsky uses good head movement to avoid it. Sullivan scores with a decent looking hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan misses with a hook. Donk. Sullivan catches Rompevsky right on the button with a cross. Rompevsky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sullivan counters with a nice uppercut. A right-left combo lands from Sullivan. Rompevsky is breathing heavily. Rompevsky ducks under a wild hook from Sullivan. Sullivan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Rompevsky is rocked! Sullivan closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rompevsky! Sullivan dives in looking to finish! Rompevsky is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
