Moss kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wild Thing. Brandon Moss has the better chin. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Moss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blake Adams! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams throws a nice looking combination but Moss bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Adams checks a leg kick nicely. Adams moves out of range of the leg kick from Moss. Moss throws a combination that misses and Adams makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Some wild striking there from Moss.
Adams lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moss circles away quickly and effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams lands a right hook to the body.
Moss misses with a body punch
and Moss takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Adams throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Moss counters with a good low kick that Adams was not able to check.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams has his takedown stuffed and Moss counters with an inside leg kick. Moss swings for the body but Adams moves out of range.
Adams dives in and grabs Moss's left leg, looking for a takedown. Moss pushes down on Adams's head and hops out. Adams misses with a takedown attempt so Moss counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brandon Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Adams. Moss throws and elbow that misses. Adams uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Moss's guard. Nice move by Adams! Moss manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Moss controlling the position easily from mount. Moss lands a big elbow. Moss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Adams wants to control but Moss is having none of it. Moss breaks from Adams's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moss sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Adams wants to try and get back to his feet. Moss lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Adams hang on? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Adams is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Moss controlling the pace for now. Moss lands a heavy elbow. Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moss with good strikes from the mount here! Adams tries to lock up and control but Moss gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The referee warns Adams that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Moss tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moss prevents Adams from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Moss dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Moss throws a series of strikes that have Adams backpedaling.
Moss staying out of range there. Adams gets caught napping as Moss dives in and scores a takedown. Adams manages to retain guard. Moss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Moss prevents Adams from getting back to his feet. Adams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Moss controls the pace. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Moss controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Moss looking to sit in guard and control but Adams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Moss wants to stand and escape but Adams is having none of it. Moss tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brandon Moss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Moss is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adams thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Moss is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Adams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Moss wants to free his trapped foot but Adams is holding on for dear life with his legs. Moss stalling. Moss throwing shots but Adams is blocking nicely. Moss perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moss wants to take a breather but Adams is having none of it. Adams has hold of Moss's hands but Moss slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Moss not landing any meaningful shots this time. Moss passes to full mount! Adams is trying desperately to improve position. Adams's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Moss avoids the attempt from Adams to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Moss misses with a head shot. Adams tries to hold on but Moss postures up. Moss lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Adams defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Moss. Moss tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Moss dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Moss throws a right and a left that both miss. Adams throws a leg kick that is checked and Moss counters with a nice body shot. Moss looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Moss connects with a leg kick. Adams looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moss looks to land a combination but Adams avoids it well. Adams feints a jab promting Moss to slip. Adams then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Moss slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Adams throws a sloppy head kick and Moss counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Adams's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams keeping moving, preventing Moss from controlling successfully. Moss sitting in guard, not really doing much. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Moss is looking to work some ground and pound but Adams has wrist control. Adams looking for a sweep. Not yet Adams, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
We're going to have a standup here because Brandon Moss wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Adams tries for a takedown but Moss circles away easily and Moss counters with a stiff right hand. Moss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adams. A decent looking cross lands there for Adams. Moss will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Moss makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Adams lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Adams throws a series of punches but Moss moves out of range. Adams keeps the fight on the outside. Adams misses with a wild combination.
Adams throws a left and a right that both miss
and Moss counters with a three punch combo that has Adams backing up. Adams nods at Moss to acknowledge the strikes. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Adams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brandon Moss is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sloppy strikes from Moss. Those never looked like landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moss tries to score a power double leg takedown but Adams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moss somewhat. Brandon Moss is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Adams looks to land a combination but Moss avoids it well. Moss misses with a series of wild punches.
Adams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Moss showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moss, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Commodore throws a low kick but Mic avoids it. Mic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Commodore's waist but Commodore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mic off to one side. Commodore tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mic drives through with a takedown into guard. Mic postures up in Commodore's guard and throws a big left but Commodore blocks it. Commodore working a defensive guard here.
Mic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mic drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Commodore dives on top into guard. Commodore trying to control the position from guard on top but Mic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Commodore must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Commodore defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mic keeping moving, preventing Commodore from controlling successfully. Mic lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Commodore! Mic throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Mic is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Commodore can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rutten trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rutten controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Austin is pulling down on Rutten's head. It's preventing any offense from Rutten, at least for the moment. Rutten pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Austin is keeping the position for now. Rutten passes Austin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Austin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Austin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rutten. Rutten tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Austin swivels and escapes. Rutten is breathing heavily. Rutten dodges the punch combination from Austin.
Rutten misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Austin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and Austin counters with a big head kick but Rutten shrugs it off. Rutten takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Austin plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Austin jabs Rutten right on the nose. Rutten blinks but takes it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Austin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rutten trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randall Austin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Rutten counters with a nice double leg into side control. Austin won't be happy with that. Rutten trying to control the action but Austin is working from the bottom. Rutten is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Austin has escaped the position, nice work there. Rutten working away. Rutten working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Austin keeps working. Austin tries to buck Rutten off but Rutten is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Austin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rutten trying to control the action but Austin is working from the bottom. Austin is trying to buck Rutten off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Austin sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rutten trying to mount his opponent but Austin defends it. Austin wants to get back to full guard. Austin trying to hold on to Rutten's head to control him but Rutten postures up.
Austin is staying active underneath Rutten, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rutten wants to pass the guard but Austin is defending well. Austin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rutten is working away from the top position though. Rutten is keen to just control but Austin is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Austin throws the kick towards the body but Rutten avoids it. Horrible takedown by Austin or perhaps it was just good defense by Rutten which made him look bad. Rutten throws a left and a right that both miss

and Austin counters with a good, hard body kick but Rutten shrugs it off. Some wild striking there from Rutten.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bas Rutten will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

But no, Austin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rutten but great work by Austin. Austin tries to advance to mount but can't. Rutten gets back to half guard. Austin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rutten does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rutten looking for submissions off his back. Austin is keen to just control but Rutten is a slippery customer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanzaki misses with a takedown attempt and Bombada counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kanzaki's guard now. Bombada throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bombada controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bombada lands a couple of elbows. Bombada wants to control from the top but Kanzaki keeps moving. Kanzaki trying to keep a closed guard but Bombada is proving a slippery customer.
Bombada with a flurry of punches that miss. Bombada thows a big elbow that misses. Bombada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bombada pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kanzaki is keeping the position for now.

Kanzaki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's really hurt Fizzlesticks and he's turned his back - Svensson keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Svensson jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
