The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jemelianko dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Jemelianko's head and hops out. Jemelianko throws a jab when James was well out of range. Jemelianko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jemelianko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jemelianko is looking to clinch. Jemelianko closes this distance looking for a takedown but James circles away. Jemelianko misses with a two punch combination.
Jemelianko misses with a takedown attempt - James sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. jimmy James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. James moves to clinch but Jemelianko breaks away and Jemelianko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Fiodor Jemelianko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jemelianko lands a nice hook to James's body. James takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. James is looking to clinch but Jemelianko is avoiding it.
Jemelianko closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Jemelianko pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jemelianko throws a series of strikes that have James backpedaling.

and James counters with a good low kick that Jemelianko was not able to check. Jemelianko misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jemelianko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jemelianko fails with the takedown and James counters into the clinch. Nicely done. James tries to land knees in the clinch but Jemelianko avoids the damage to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. James slaps away a takedown attempt from Jemelianko, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Fiodor Jemelianko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jemelianko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Plug thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Plug is aware though and is defending well. Alves pushes a forearm under Plug's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Plug is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aka closes the distance and pushes Whatley back into the cage. Whatley looking for a takedown. Whatley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Aka fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Aka throws a head kick that Whatley semi-blocks.
Aka gets a takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Whatley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Aka scores with a couple of nice shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Whatley looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ground and pound from Aka. Aka is nestled in close to Whatley, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Aka is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Whatley is hurt! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Owens. Schafer does a little dance to reset his feet. Owens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schafer tries to clinch but fails miserably and Owens counters with a low kick, right behind Schafer 's knee. Owens pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Schafer scores with a jab. Owens acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Owens looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Schafer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Schafer softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Schafer.
Schafer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Owens backwards. Schafer prevents a takedown attempt there.
