The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlovski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aldo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Arlovski has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Arlovski and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Aldo throws a lazy uppercut
and Aldo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aldo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Arlovski.

Arlovski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Aldo eats them both and turns towards Arlovski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jose Aldo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

No joy there for Manhoef, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dominick Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manhoef throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cruz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Manhoef loads up on a big right hand but Cruz slips the punch.
Cruz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Manhoef rattles Cruz with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Cruz tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Manhoef dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Cruz stiff and motionless on the mat!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Santiago , as that shot connected.

Santiago lands a left and a right that send Pacquiao crashing to the mat, dazed. Santiago thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Pacquiao seems to have recovered his senses.
Santiago jabs Pacquiao right on the nose. Pacquiao blinks but takes it well.
