Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yohan Levi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Andrei Marshall! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

Levi misses with a left hand
and Marshall counters with a takedown into side control. Marshall cracks Levi with a big right hand but Levi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Levi is looking to regain half guard here but Marshall keeps moving and retains side control. Levi sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Marshall scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Levi is looking to improve his position.
Levi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Marshall pulls his head out easily.
Marshall is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Marshall working the head and body with strikes. Marshall seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Levi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Levi gets full guard.

Marshall wants to take a breather but Levi is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marshall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Levi pinned against the cage. Levi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Marshall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Marshall is nestled in close to Levi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Marshall prevents Levi from improving his position. Marshall is trying to control the action in half guard but Levi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. That was a close second round but I would say that Stephen Elley will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Stephen Elley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elley wants to clinch up but Newsom keeps it at a distance. Newsom circles away from the clinch attempt.

Lei fails with the takedown and Marchetti counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lei's knee momentarily. That kick from Marchetti tenderised Lei's leg. Lei is trying to keep his angry face on. Lei shoots and misses and Marchetti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Maurizio Marchetti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chan Lei. A clash of legs there as Lei blocks the low kick.

Marchetti displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lei up against the cage. Marchetti lands an uppercut. Marchetti utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Lei can't get the takedown.
Marchetti escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Marchetti bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lei's head backwards. Lei rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Marchetti counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That's going to take a lot out of Chan Lei. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marchetti tries a low kick but Lei avoids it. Lei's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marchetti connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lei scrambles back to his feet.

Pinnemuts works Santos's body with a nice hook. Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Santos defending well as Pinnemuts loads up on a big left hand.
Pinnemuts shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Santos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Pinnemuts is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pinnemuts won't allow Santos to sweep him here. Pinnemuts landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos trying to control the position.

Baran throws a leg kick which misses Hellstrom's front leg but catches the back leg as Hellstrom tries to avoid it. Hellstrom closes the distance and clinches up with Baran, looking for a takedown. Hellstrom pushes Baran against the cage but Baran circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Baran lands with a thumping leg kick.

You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kyou looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

This has been an exciting period of action! Hood shoots for a double leg takedown but Crump sprawls well. He's pushed Hood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hood shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crump pinned against the cage.
