 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamenov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sparks.
Sparks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kamenov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kamenov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kamenov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sparks content just to control the position here. Kamenov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Sparks landing strikes, looking to finish! Sparks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kamenov chipping away with body shots but they're not going to hurt Sparks. Kamenov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Sparks's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from LaRue. Genji misses with a takedown attempt and LaRue counters with a flying knee. Nice. Genji shoots and misses and LaRue counters with an inside leg kick.
Genji decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. LaRue desperately trying to maintain half guard. LaRue manages to get to full guard.
Genji drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and LaRue dives on top into guard. LaRue seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Genji throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! LaRue escapes and throws Genji's legs to the side, diving into side control!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Genji sneaks back into half guard.

Genji is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but LaRue pulls his head out easily. LaRue tries to stand but can't do so whilst Genji controls his leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. LaRue seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Genji does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Genji wants to get back to full guard.

LaRue escapes and gets back to his feet. Genji misses with a takedown
and LaRue counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genkichirou Genji. That's going to take a lot out of him. LaRue unloads a knee to the mid-section. Genji lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
LaRue has Genji pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. LaRue pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Genji tumbling to the mat - LaRue dives into Genji's guard. Genji is breathing heavily.

 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Genji is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

LaRue must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. LaRue would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. LaRue wants to control from the top but Genji keeps moving. Genji has a closed guard, preventing LaRue from standing up.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Genji is looking to regain half guard here but LaRue keeps moving and retains side control.
LaRue decides to take the fight back to the feet. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Genji checks a leg kick.
Genji drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Genji is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! LaRue is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! LaRue has escaped and now he's on top!
LaRue is posturing up here but Genji has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! LaRue tries to roll out but it's too tight and LaRue has to tap! Slick submission there by Genji!

Breedz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Breedz scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Good shot there by Breedz. Breedz is really dominating this fight. Fisher smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Calvin Fisher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Breedz lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fighters circling - Doyle throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dread throws a right and a left that both miss. Doyle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dread but Dread pushes him off and we're back to square one. Doyle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dread sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Doyle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dread tries to avoid it but Doyle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dread to the ground. Dread escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conor Doyle. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Doyle is defended easily by Dread. Doyle shoots for a takedown but Dread saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle shoots in and drives through. Dread sprawls well. Doyle ducks under a wild hook from Dread. Dread checks a low kick from Doyle. Doyle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Doyle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dread avoids it really well and circles away. Dread throws a combination that misses
and Doyle counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dread blocking the ground and pound attempt from Doyle. Dread trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doyle throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dread because Doyle loaded up on that one. Doyle misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamaru has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yamaru there as he acknowledges the shot. Yamaru looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spanka is fending him off so far but Yamaru persists. Nope, Spanka circles away and we're back to standing. Spanka displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Spanka misses with a lunging right hand
and Yamaru counters with a single leg into guard. Spanka didn't expect that. Yamaru trying to control but Spanka is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yamaru accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Spanka keeping moving, preventing Yamaru from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Yamaru is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Spanka is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

 Shinji Yamaru has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Yamaru gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Spanka. Spanka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yamaru sees it coming and avoids it easily. Spanka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Yamaru shoots in and drives through. Spanka sprawls well. Spanka throws a series of punches but Yamaru moves out of range. Yamaru shoots in for a takedown but Spanka shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinji Yamaru. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yamaru avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The fighters circling - Spanka throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Yamaru shoots for a takedown but Spanka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Spanka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spanka wants it to stay on the feet. Yamaru misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yamaru and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Spanka misses with a double jab.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shinji Yamaru. Spanka thows a left - swing and a miss! No luck for Yamaru with that takedown attempt. Spanka lands a jab-cross combination. Spanka scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Yamaru gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Spanka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Yamaru looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spanka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Spanka uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yamaru has time to react. Yamaru shoots in for a takedown but Spanka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinji Yamaru. Frank Sherman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stanfield connects with a crisp jab. Stanfield tries a head kick but it misses.
Sherman needs to keep his hands up - Stanfield had a free shot at his head there.
 It looks like Frank Sherman has been cut. Sherman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stanfield seems to be stalking Sherman here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Sherman drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
