Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Azad Naja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sloppy McSlopperson! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McSlopperson misses with the combination.
McSlopperson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Naja avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Naja. Those never looked like landing. McSlopperson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Naja tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McSlopperson was well out of range. Poor timing from Naja. McSlopperson fails with the takedown so Naja counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McSlopperson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Naja doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Naja manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McSlopperson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McSlopperson can't keep his opponent in guard - Naja advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. McSlopperson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naja is looking for a kimura here.
Naja works his foot free and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Naja is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McSlopperson is surviving well by controlling Naja's body position as best he can. Naja throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Naja goes for an armbar but McSlopperson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McSlopperson. Naja looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Naja bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McSlopperson's guard. McSlopperson is controlling Naja's posture. Naja looking to sit in guard and control but McSlopperson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Naja looking for a sweep. Not yet Naja, not yet. McSlopperson trying to control the position from guard on top but Naja is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Naja wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Naja is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. McSlopperson is in trouble now - Naja has advanced to mount! McSlopperson tries to hold on but Naja pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Naja is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McSlopperson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McSlopperson shrugs it off. McSlopperson tries to lock up and control but Naja gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Naja pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Naja mounts McSlopperson! Really nice guard pass there! Naja avoids the attempt from McSlopperson to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McSlopperson can do anything to dispel that myth. Naja has control of McSlopperson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McSlopperson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Naja prevents McSlopperson from getting the reversal. Naja avoids the attempt from McSlopperson to control. Naja looking to secure an arm triangle but McSlopperson defends it well. McSlopperson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Naja fails to advance to McSlopperson's back. McSlopperson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Naja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Naja trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Azad Naja dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
McSlopperson with a poor takedown and Naja counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Naja passes the guard and advances to mount! McSlopperson is looking to get to half guard. Naja takes McSlopperson's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, McSlopperson is in trouble. Naja looking for the RNC. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Naja's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gerbe looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A head kick by Roidrage misses and Gerbe counters with a good low kick that Roidrage was not able to check. Gerbe throws a leg kick which misses Roidrage's front leg but catches the back leg as Roidrage tries to avoid it. Roidrage tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gerbe paws at him with a jab and circles away. Roidrage looks gassed! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gerbe, right into the meat.
Roidrage throws a sloppy head kick and Gerbe counters with a nice kick to the body. Ronimus Roidrage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gerbe goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Roidrage on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gerbe lands a leg kick that knocks Roidrage off balance momentarily. A good leg kick by Gerbe. Roidrage tries to clinch but Gerbe is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lazy body kick from Roidrage and Gerbe counters with a low kick, right behind Roidrage 's knee. Gerbe throws a nice inside leg kick. Gerbe is looking to chop away at Roidrage's legs. Roidrage pushes Gerbe away with a front kick. Gerbe scores with a push kick.

Gerbe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roidrage pinned against the cage. Roidrage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Gerbe throws a wild body kick that Roidrage sees coming a mile off.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Roidrage trying to control but Gerbe is working from the bottom. Gerbe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Roidrage! Gerbe trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tyler Gerbe will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tyler Gerbe's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Roidrage throws a body kick the misses and Gerbe counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Roidrage wants to clinch up but Gerbe keeps it at a distance. A slapping body kick lands there for Gerbe. Roidrage on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gerbe. Gerbe obviously looking to wear him down.

Roidrage's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Gerbe throws a body kick that misses. Gerbe lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Gerbe throws a push kick but Roidrage slaps the foot to one side. Roidrage throws a sloppy head kick and Gerbe counters with a body kick that stops Roidrage in his tracks momentarily. Gerbe throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Gerbe connects with a high kick. Gerbe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gerbe, right into the meat.
Roidrage has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Gerbe. Gerbe throws a sloppy head kick and Roidrage moves out of range easily. Roidrage throws a shot from downtown. Gerbe moves away and avoids it. Roidrage takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nice body kick from Gerbe. Gerbe fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gerbe looks to throw a body kick and Roidrage makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gerbe really felt that one! Gerbe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Roidrage. That did some damage! Gerbe lands with a kick to the ribs.
Roidrage scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Roidrage sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A head kick by Roidrage misses and Gerbe counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Roidrage is lucky that one didn't land flush. Gerbe throws a push kick but Roidrage slaps the foot to one side. A head kick by Roidrage misses and Gerbe counters with a body kick that stops Roidrage in his tracks momentarily. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gerbe throws the kick towards the body but Roidrage avoids it. Gerbe misses with a body kick. Roidrage moves out of range of the body kick from Gerbe.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roidrage throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Gerbe counters with a nice body kick.
Gerbe closes the distance and clinches up with Roidrage, looking for a takedown. Gerbe pushes Roidrage against the cage but Roidrage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gerbe throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Roidrage counters with a flying knee. Nice.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyler Gerbe. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gerbe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voskresensky throws a lazy uppercut
and Lacroix counters with a nice leg kick. A punch lands to the side of Lacroix 's head but he takes it in his stride. Voskresensky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lacroix connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Felix Voskresensky has been cut. Voskresensky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lacroix circles away. Voskresensky tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lacroix swivels and escapes. Lacroix throws a body kick that misses. Voskresensky comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Voskresensky feints and as Lacroix raises his hands in defense, Voskresensky changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacroix keeping moving, preventing Voskresensky from controlling successfully. Lacroix looking to hit a scissor sweep but Voskresensky is one step ahead there. Voskresensky trying to control the position from guard on top but Lacroix is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Voskresensky content to stall in guard here.

Felix Voskresensky has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lacroix scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Voskresensky fails with a takedown attempt. Daniel Lacroix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Voskresensky. Lacroix stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacroix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Voskresensky has his takedown stuffed and Lacroix moves into the clinch. A hook to the body from Lacroix.
Lacroix lands a body shot. Lacroix's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lacroix lands with a short shot to the head. Voskresensky with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Voskresensky is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lacroix gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Voskresensky looks gassed! Voskresensky can't get the takedown.
Lacroix works on Voskresensky's body with a couple of short punches. Lacroix is leaning against Voskresensky and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Lacroix lands with a short shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lacroix pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A slapping leg kick lands for Lacroix.
Lacroix lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Voskresensky moves out of range as Lacroix throws a body kick.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Melbrooks lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tatsuki has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tatsuki and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Tatsuki takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Trang might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kuch has got the better of the exchanges. Trang takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ledil Kuch is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starks tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Claymore throws a shot to the body.
Claymore connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Claymore ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Claymore misses the target. Claymore throws a jab when Starks was well out of range. Claymore throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Claymore fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Starks looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Claymore ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Starks moves away. Starks throws out a loose jab but Claymore uses good head movement to avoid it. Claymore connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Claymore advances nicely into full mount. Starks bucks up and throws Claymore to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Claymore takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Starks eats them both and turns towards Claymore to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Claymore throws a leg kick which misses Starks's front leg but catches the back leg as Starks tries to avoid it. Claymore swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Claymore stuns Starks with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Claymore in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Claymore dips to his left and cracks Starks with an uppercut! Claymore wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Claymore misses with a low kick.
