I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mike Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Zerep lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zerep might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Zerep waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Lurpo. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Lurpo to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zerep wants to control from the top but Lurpo keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Newton gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Newton seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Fairley tries to circle away but Newton has him pinned against the cage.

Newton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Newton manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Fairley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Newton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fairley can't do much from the bottom here.
Fairley tries to improve position but can't.
Fairley is trying to control Newton's posture but Newton avoids it.

Newton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fairley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Newton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Newton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
