Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Roche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boon Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baggins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins (my hero) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Boon Baggins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Boon Baggins! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baggins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Roche counters with a straight right hand. Roche lands with a nice body punch. Baggins shoots and misses and Roche counters with a nice uppercut. Roche lunges at Baggins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Baggins's hand. Baggins on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Boon Baggins has been cut. Baggins tries for a takedown but Roche circles away easily and Roche counters with a nice uppercut. Baggins drops his hands momentarily and Roche takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Baggins is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Roche flashes Baggins a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Baggins's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Baggins crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Roche punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dexter moves to clinch but Fourie breaks away and Fourie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dexter is trying to get back to full guard. Dexter tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Fourie manages to move to mount!

We're going to have a standup here because Garth Fourie wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Fourie has managed to clinch.
Dexter is working for takedown but Fourie is calmly controlling the position for now. Dexter tries to circle away but Fourie has him pinned against the cage. Dexter trying to control the position but instead, Fourie has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dexter into the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Fourie.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fourie creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Fourie is looking to break free of the clinch but Dexter has double underhooks. Dexter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fourie has him pressed against the cage. Dexter breaks the clinch.
Fourie moves into range and clinches up with Dexter. Dexter is working for takedown but Fourie is calmly controlling the position for now. Fourie drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dexter gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fourie stands and throws Dexter's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rob Dexter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Garth Fourie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fourie happy to just control the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Garth Fourie showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fourie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murdock with a lazy takedown attempt and Vasa counters with a right hand to the body. Vasa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Murdock to the mat! Murdock manages to get full guard. Vasa landing some decent shots from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vasa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vasa controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vasa advances position into side control! Vasa working the body and head with strikes.

Doe closes the distance and lands a one-two. Doe stalks Browne and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Browne's face. Browne staggers backwards, shaken. Doe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Browne shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Doe counters with a single leg into guard. Browne didn't expect that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Doe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Browne keeping full guard, as Doe tries to pass.

Snotklap throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Rua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Snotklap swats away the attempt to clinch by Rua. Snotklap works Rua's body with a nice hook. Snotklap shoots in looking for a takedown. Rua tries to sprawl out of it but Snotklap keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rua manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rua wants to clinch letting Snotklap counter with a right hand. Rua wants to clinch and Snotklap counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rua tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Snotklap manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rua wants to clinch and Snotklap counters with a lovely straight right hand! Snotklap moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Snotklap feints a jab promting Rua to slip. Snotklap then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rua slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Snotklap shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rua defends it nicely. Shogun Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hennie Snotklap. Snotklap circles away from the clinch attempt.
Snotklap drives through with a takedown into Rua's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Snotklap must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rua wants to stand but Snotklap is controlling the position. Snotklap trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rua has his feet on Snotklap's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Small is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Visagie yanks on the arm and Small is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nogueira connects with a body shot that sends Heikki's belly button to the back. Nogueira lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Nogueira throws a right hand that Heikki ducks under and follows up with a left that Heikki also avoids with ease. Heikki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Nogueira rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heikki moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Heikki trying to mount his opponent but Nogueira defends it. Heikki lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Nogueira! More strikes land and this one is all over! Heikki jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

It looks like Krzysztof King has been cut. King with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Goc to score with a decent uppercut. Goc misses with a hook. King ducked under it nicely. Goc keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. King shoots in for a double leg but Goc sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krzysztof King. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Goc as King shoots in. King takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. King tries for a takedown but Goc circles away easily and Goc counters with a monster head kick that knocks King out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
