3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sredoje Lucic! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoffman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lucic but Lucic pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hoffman keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lucic. Hoffman tries to clinch up. Hoffman wants to clinch up but Lucic keeps it at a distance. Lucic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hoffman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lucic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoffman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lucic tries to avoid it but Hoffman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lucic to the ground. Lucic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Albert Hoffman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lucic cracks Hoffman with an open hand slap.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lucic is trying to break free. Lucic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lucic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hoffman tries to avoid it but Lucic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hoffman to the ground. Hoffman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lucic throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hoffman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lucic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hoffman lands a nice looking body kick. Hoffman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hoffman throws a one two combo.
Nice body kick there by Hoffman. Lucic looks gassed! Hoffman stuffs the takedown attempt from Lucic. Lucic gets slowly back to his feet. Hoffman thuds a left hand into Lucic's body. Hoffman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucic takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hoffman rushes Lucic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lucic is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hoffman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lucic. Lucic wants to break free but Hoffman has control.

Hoffman throws a combination. Lucic tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lucic is rocked! Hoffman gets a big slam - oh, Lucic is out! Lucic is out! That's a nasty KO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crimson has closed the distance and engaged Payne in a clinch.
Payne is trying to break the clinch but Crimson has him pressed against the cage. Payne is trying to break the clinch but Crimson is controlling him. Payne wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Payne manages to break the clinch.
A left lands for Crimson. Payne misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crimson.
Crimson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Payne moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Payne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crimson as he avoids it easily. Crimson fails in his attempt to clinch. Crimson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Payne counters with a three punch combo that has Crimson backing up. Crimson nods at Payne to acknowledge the strikes. Payne misses with a double jab
and Crimson counters with a one-two to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Payne lands with a shot to the body. Payne fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Crimson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Payne manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Payne throws a jab when Crimson was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crimson tries to clinch and Payne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Payne showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Crimson.
Crimson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Payne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fresh Crimson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Payne. Crimson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Payne.
Crimson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Payne back to the cage. Crimson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Victor Payne has been cut. Crimson tries to clinch but Payne moves away enabling Payne to counter with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crimson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Payne counters with a takedown into side control. Who's going to make the next move? Crimson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Payne has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Payne looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Crimson manages to get back to half guard. Crimson tries to get to full guard but Payne has control of the leg. Payne tries to pass to full mount but Crimson defends it. Crimson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Crimson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Payne. Crimson wants to sweep here but Payne controlling him for the moment. Payne trying to control but Crimson is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crimson controlling Payne's posture. Payne tries to free his leg and advance position but Crimson is retaining full guard. Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Crimson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Victor Payne wasn't active enough on the ground. A jab from Payne does it's job there. Nice takedown defense from Crimson. No joy for Payne on that attempt. Crimson clinches with his opponent.
Crimson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Payne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fresh Crimson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Payne waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Crimson. Payne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crimson counters with a one-two to the body. No joy there for Payne, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Crimson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Payne on the side of the head. Payne closes the distance and clinches up with Crimson, looking for a takedown. Payne pushes Crimson against the cage but Crimson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Payne looks gassed! Crimson tries to clinch but Payne moves out of range. Crimson instigates a clinch. Payne tries to break free but Crimson pushes him back against the cage. Crimson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Payne backwards. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A body shot lands from Crimson.

Crimson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Crimson keeps control of Payne as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Crimson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Crimson scores with a shot to the side of Payne's head. Crimson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Crimson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Crimson connects with a crisp jab. Payne drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crimson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Victor Payne will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Victor Payne's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Payne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Crimson fails in his attempt to clinch. Crimson misses with a double jab.

Crimson throws a right hand that Payne ducks under and follows up with a left that Payne also avoids with ease. Crimson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Payne is breathing heavily. Crimson closes the distance but Payne moves to the side and Payne counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crimson pushes Payne off and gets back to his feet.

Payne stands up over Crimson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Payne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crimson's guard. Crimson tries to kick Payne off but Payne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Crimson wants to control but Payne is keeping busy and won't allow it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Payne trying to control from half guard but Crimson is working away. Payne stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Crimson to get to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Payne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Victor Payne's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Payne tries to lock up and control but Crimson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Payne bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Crimson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Payne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crimson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crimson kicks Payne off and gets to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Crimson tries to clinch and Payne counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Payne is working for a kimura but Crimson is defending it quite comfortably.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Payne connects with a nice short shot to Crimson's temple. Crimson trying to control from the bottom.

Crimson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Crimson is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Crimson's head. Crimson is not content to let Payne control the position. Crimson is looking for a sweep. Payne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Crimson is staying active underneath Payne, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crimson tries to kick Payne off but Payne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Payne escapes and gets back to his feet. Crimson closes the distance but Payne moves to the side and Payne counters with a stiff right hand. Crimson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Payne pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nice defenses there by Crimson. Crimson pushes Payne up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Payne manages to break the clinch.
Payne throws a right and a left that Crimson avoids nicely. Nice body punch from Payne. Good exchange - Crimson coming out on top. Crimson doesn't manage to clinch there - Payne circles away.
Payne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fresh Crimson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Crimson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Crimson looks to clinch and Payne counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Victor Payne has got the better of the ground game so far. This has been an exciting period of action! Payne throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Crimson manages to escape and get back to his feet! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crimson motions for Payne to come forward. Crimson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A slow jab from Crimson misses its intended target. Crimson blocks a jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Victor Payne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Payne winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brown looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brown! Augustine is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brown off and has taken his back!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kurt Meyer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Odda Nabonaga! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meyer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Meyer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nabonaga. Meyer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nabonaga counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Meyer thinking. Nabonaga misses with a lunging right hand
and Meyer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Meyer misses with a left hand and Nabonaga counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Kurt Meyer has been cut. Meyer fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nabonaga takes a swing at Meyer's ribcage but misses. Nabonaga scores with a punch to the head. Meyer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Meyer throws an off balance right hand
and Nabonaga counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Nabonaga pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nabonaga ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nabonaga tries to bum rush Meyer with a series of wild strikes but Meyer uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nabonaga tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Meyer was well out of range. Poor timing from Nabonaga. Nabonaga misses with a wild body shot. Meyer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Meyer misses with an uppercut
and Nabonaga connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Odda Nabonaga dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kurt Meyer's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Meyer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nabonaga checks a low kick from Meyer. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Some wild striking there from Nabonaga.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Meyer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nabonaga. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Nabonaga throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nabonaga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nabonaga is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Meyer rather than just go for the knockout. Meyer misses the jab. Meyer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nabonaga. Nabonaga throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Meyer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nabonaga avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nabonaga throws a half hearted mid kick. Nabonaga uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Meyer.

Kurt Meyer's cut is getting worse. Meyer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nabonaga.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meyer is looking to chop away at Nabonaga's legs. Nabonaga throws a sloppy body shot
letting Meyer counter with a right hand. Meyer scoring well with a low kick there.
Nabonaga pivots, looking for a leg kick but Meyer is out of range and Nabonaga settles back down. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Meyer tries to clinch there but Nabonaga circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nabonaga connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Meyer doesn't manage to clinch there - Nabonaga circles away.
Nabonaga throws a head kick that misses and Meyer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Meyer slips a straight right by Nabonaga. Meyer misses the jab. Kurt Meyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nabonaga misses with an uppercut.

and Meyer counters with a left and a right that stings Nabonaga. Nabonaga throws a lazy uppercut
and Meyer counters with a big right hand! Oh Nabonaga is in trouble here! Meyer follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
