The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson with a poor takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jackson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones. Bobby Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws a quick inside leg kick. Jackson closes the distance but Jones moves to the side and Jones counters with a flying knee. Nice. Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jackson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jackson tries to land a body kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jones lands a head kick!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munch throws a leg kick and Brookins counters with a single leg into guard. Munch didn't expect that. Brookins wants to pass the guard but Munch is keeping the position. Brookins looking to sit in guard and control but Munch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brookins striking off his back but it's not causing Munch any problems. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Munch cracks Brookins with a solid left hand. Munch trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Munch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Munch's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Harris looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control!
