The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heath closes the distance and pushes Giles back into the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Giles as Heath tries to tie him up. Giles decides to pull guard. Heath wants to control from the top but Giles keeps moving. Heath slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Giles is looking to regain half guard here but Heath keeps moving and retains side control. Heath is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Giles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Giles is looking for a sweep. Heath scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. McCollins throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bison stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Chingson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Carwin is in Chingson's guard. Carwin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
