The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dzemilli wants to clinch but Perry slips to the side and Perry counters with a stiff right hand. Perry throws a right and a left that both miss. Perry scores with a jab to the head.
Dzemilli wants to clinch and Perry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Dzemilli wants to stand and escape but Perry is having none of it. Perry keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dzemilli's head. Perry with a nice head shot there. Dzemilli wants to stand up but Perry is controlling him. Perry is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dzemilli wants to get back to his feet but Perry is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Dzemilli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Perry controlling from the top position. Perry lands a couple of decent looking shots. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Perry stands and throws Dzemilli's legs to the side, diving into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dzemilli can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry in side control lands a decent elbow. Dzemilli tries to escape but Perry is in control. Perry happy to just control the position for now. Dzemilli is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Perry has just dragged him back down to the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perry works to advance to full mount. Dzemilli defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Perry scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Dzemilli is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perry is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Dzemilli goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Perry!

Pasha TexHuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. TexHuk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fight moves into the clinch position. Potapkin managing to block the knees to the body from TexHuk.

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hawk! LeBlanc is looking to reverse the position. LeBlanc sneaks back into half guard. LeBlanc closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. LeBlanc seems to be working for a kimura but Hawk defends the submission attempt.
