The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richardson throws a head kick that misses and Duscaw counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Richardson's guard now. Duscaw trying to control but Richardson is working from the bottom. Duscaw trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Duscaw trying to control but Richardson is working from the bottom. Duscaw looking to pass the guard. Richardson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Richardson throws a head kick that misses and Duscaw counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duscaw misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Duscaw thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The strikes coming from Duscaw are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The referee asks Duscaw politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Duscaw prefers to stall for the moment though. Duscaw tries for a kimura. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Duscaw in particular looking to stall. Duscaw is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Richardson sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Richardson is pressing down on Duscaw's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Richardson trying to control the position.

VanVactor keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kahn. Kahn tries to clinch up. Kahn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but VanVactor moves away. Kahn misses with a looping right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. VanVactor fails to land the takedown. Kahn slips a jab from VanVactor. Kahn lands a nice hook to VanVactor's body. VanVactor takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

VanVactor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. VanVactor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kahn is keeping the position for now. VanVactor trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kahn manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! VanVactor wants to sweep but no luck.

Kahn got a little sloppy there for a moment and VanVactor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kahn has managed to get both his arms back between VanVactor's legs - danger averted. VanVactor tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kahn wants to stand and escape but instead VanVactor has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kahn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in VanVactor's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. VanVactor keeping moving, preventing Kahn from controlling successfully. VanVactor working for a triangle but Kahn defends it easily.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! VanVactor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kahn's guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harrikari doesn't succeed with the takedown and Martin counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Martin.
Martin misses the shot to the body. Harrikari pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Martin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashad Evans! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beast sprawls well initially but Evans persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Evans working over Beast with some ground and pound. Beast looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Evans lands a nice short elbow. Evans has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Beast keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Evans is trying to control the action in half guard but Beast is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Evans is taking a breather. Beast says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evans trying to control from half guard but Beast is working away. Evans missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Evans trying to control the action but Beast is working from the bottom.

and Evans takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Beast throws a leg kick but Evans sees it coming and moves out of range. Evans misses with a takedown and Beast counters with a series of strikes. Evans will be more careful next time no doubt. Marcus Beast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rashad Evans. Evans fails with the takedown and Beast makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Beast counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Evans looks gassed! Beast jabs Evans to the body, keeping him at a distance. Beast misses with a double jab.
Rashad Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Evans looks to clinch and Beast counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Beast. Beast pulls guard successfully.
Evans is fighting to break Beast's control of his arms but Beast is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Evans stopping the sweep attempt from Beast.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Evans advances position into side control! Evans grinds an elbow into Beast's temple. Evans throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Beast works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Evans looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Evans looks to land a strike but Beast avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Evans content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Evans preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans stands up and waves to Beast to follow him. Beast keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Evans gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beast counters with a low kick, right behind Evans 's knee. Evans shoots and misses and Beast counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Marcus Beast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. and Graves connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Graves throws a hook but Behram blocks it. Graves tests Behram's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Graves throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Behram counters with a stiff right hand.

and Graves counters by moving into the clinch. Graves lands a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Behram. A head punch on the inside from Graves fails to land. Behram misses with a punch on the inside.
Gustav Graves has scored more points in the clinch so far. Behram breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Behram swats away the attempt to clinch by Graves. Behram looks to land a body kick but Graves moved away. Behram shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Graves counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graves shoots and misses and Behram counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Behram misses with a lunging right hand
and Graves cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Behram throws a right and a left that Graves avoids nicely. Thug Behram seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Graves throws a hook but Behram blocks it. Graves looks to score with a jab to the body but Behram is just out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Graves misses with a wild combination.
