6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muay Thai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gerry Winfield! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Thai pushes Winfield away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Winfield gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Winfield lands some shots froms side control. Thai regains half guard, as Winfield was trying to land strikes. Winfield throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Winfield slips a nice elbow through Thai's hands, connecting with Thai's forehead. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Winfield connects with a nice short shot to Thai's temple. Thai misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Ground and pound from Winfield. Thai tries to roll over but Winfield keeps him under control. Winfield sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Thai defending well though. Thai pushes Winfield off looking to stand but Winfield dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thai makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Winfield throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thai was covering up waiting for the punch and Winfield finishes the takedown easily into guard. Thai keeping full guard, as Winfield tries to pass. Thai avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Thai working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Winfield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thai has momentary wrist control but Winfield slips an elbow through the middle. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cartman lands a head shot. Brand lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cartman circles away quickly and effectively. Cartman swinging wildly here.
Cartman throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cartman throws a sloppy head kick and Brand counters with a stiff right hand. Cartman thows a leg kick but Brand checks it and Brand counters with a slapping leg kick. Brand fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cartman keeps the fight on the outside. Cartman looks to throw a body kick and Brand counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Brand shoots in but Cartman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Brand tries to close the distance and clinch but Cartman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cartman throws a leg kick that is checked and Brand counters with a good low kick that Cartman was not able to check. Cartman throws a right and a left that both miss. Brand fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cartman avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Russell Brand. Daniel Cartman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cartman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sloppy strikes from Cartman. Those never looked like landing. Daniel Cartman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cartman is looking to score with low kicks. Brand blocks a low kick nicely. Cartman dodges the punch combination from Brand.
Cartman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Cartman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brand eats them both and turns towards Cartman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Cartman is working the combinations to good effect here. Brand with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cartman to score with a decent uppercut. Cartman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Brand checks a low kick from Cartman. Cartman cracks Brand with an open hand slap. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cartman digs a good hook to Brand's body.

Cartman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Brand rather than just go for the knockout. A jab lands there for Cartman. Cartman throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cartman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Cartman misses with a jab, cross combination.

Brand looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

A head kick by Cartman misses and Brand holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cartman works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Brand is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cartman. Cartman slaps away a takedown attempt from Brand, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cartman tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Brand is able to avoid easily. Cartman throws a one two combo.

Oh Brand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Brand fails with a takedown attempt. Cartman uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brand has time to react. Cartman throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Cartman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cartman lands a jab to Brand's midsection. Cartman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cartman misses with a leg kick. Brand seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Cartman shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Brand is backing up but Cartman catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Brand covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Cartman Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

West manages to get full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. West pushes Pray off and scrambles back to his feet.

Pray sprawls well initially but West persists and gets the takedown into half guard. West is keen to just control but Pray is a slippery customer. Pray is controlling West's trapped leg to prevent West from advancing to side control. Pray wants to control but West is keeping busy.
West is pressing down on Pray's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pray is holding on for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pray drives through with a takedown into guard. Pray working some strikes from top position. OK we're going to have a standup here. Lay Pray hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Pray misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. West is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pray is controlling him.

Douglas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mesnar. Mesnar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Xhtc stalks Bova and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bova's face. Bova staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Anthony Bova has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bova throws a right hand that misses
