The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Northman moves into the clinch successfully.

It looks like Eric Northman has been cut. Morton is looking to break free of the clinch but Northman has double underhooks. Northman has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Morton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Northman can't find room to land a body shot as Morton controls the action.

Morton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Northman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lao throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lao could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lao looks to land a strike but Resina avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Resina lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lao! Resina is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Lao closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Resina did well to prevent Lao getting side control. Lao working Resina over with strikes. Resina has hold of Lao's hands but Lao slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. It looks like Mui Thai has been cut. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Thai checks a leg kick. Thompson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Thai slips a jab and a cross from Thompson.
Thompson moves out of range of the strikes. Thompson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Thompson thows a body shot but no joy. Thai drops his shoulder and cracks Thompson with a huge uppercut! Thompson goes down! Can Thai finish him?
It looks like Tommy Thompson has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Thai trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Thai trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Thompson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. A looping hook to the body misses from Thompson. Thai does a little dance to reset his feet. BOOM! Thai lands a beautiful left hook that drops Thompson. Thompson tries to recover but Thai is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Thompson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Aeger jabbing away but nothing is landing. Aeger throws out a loose jab but Moore uses good head movement to avoid it. Good leg kick by Moore there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Aeger throws a nice looking combination but Moore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Aeger throws an overhand right that lands on Moore's shoulder, as Moore tries to avoid the shot. A jab from Aeger misses. Moore is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aeger sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Aeger thows a body shot but no joy. A telegraphed right hand from Aeger misses the target. Aeger misses with a shot to the body and Moore counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Aeger! Moore throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Aeger really wants to buck Moore off and get back to his feet. Poor strikes thrown by Moore there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Moore is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Aeger is surviving well by controlling Moore's body position as best he can. Moore has control of Aeger's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Aeger regains control of the situation pretty easily.
