The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes drives through with a takedown into SmithJr's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Mendes drops back, looking for a kneebar! SmithJr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. SmithJr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from SmithJr!
SmithJr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mendes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mendes sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Mendes slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
SmithJr wants to pass the guard but Mendes is keeping the position.
SmithJr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mendes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, SmithJr has managed to get both his arms back between Mendes's legs - danger averted.
Mendes has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. SmithJr doesn't defend quickly enough and Mendes has managed to lock this one up! Can SmithJr escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mendes on a fantastic submission victory.

Erect throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Robinson.
Dicks Erect seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Erect is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Robinson.
Robinson misses with a wild combination.
Erect fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Erect lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Robinson at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Erect throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Henry Robinson has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Erect thows a body shot but no joy.
Erect misses with a two punch combination.
Erect feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Robinson sprawling to the canvas! Robinson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Erect finish him?!

Erect Throws a clean left jab. Erect Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Robinson's chin! Robinson crumbles to the ground and Erect follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Erect!
