The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredd misses with a takedown and Ekwall counters with a shoot takedown. Fredd fights it but they end up in guard. Ekwall lands a couple of elbows. Ekwall scoring with some ground and pound. Ekwall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ekwall postures up and lands a big shot to Fredd's brow. Ekwall postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ekwall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! Fredd has momentary wrist control but Ekwall slips an elbow through the middle. Ekwall with a nice head shot there. Ekwall is in close to Fredd's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fredd is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ekwall loads up on a big left hand. Fredd felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Ekwall looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Fredd can't hide his disappointment, as Ekwall celebrates the victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tito just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tito holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Silva managing to block the knees to the body from Tito.
Tito scores with a hook to the body. Tito successfully pulls guard.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Tito has wrist control. Tito wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tito working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Tito controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tito wants to sweep but no luck. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Tito gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tito drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Tito off! Tito jumps back into Silva's guard. Tito drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Tito off! Tito jumps back into Silva's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Silva holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tito throws and elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tito's guard. Nice move by Silva! Tito controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself. Tito looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there. Silva trying to control but Tito is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Silva preventing the sweep. Silva wants to control from the top but Tito keeps moving.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Marcilo Silva hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Silva is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Tito just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Silva has gone limp, and this one is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kwok darts in trying to clinch and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kwok tries to clinch up enabling Carter to counter with a crisp jab. Kwok swings for the body but Carter moves out of range.
Kwok wants to clinch letting Carter counter with a right hand. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Carter - that will leave a mark!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kwok plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Ryan Carter has been cut. Kwok slips a jab from Carter. Kwok closes the distance but Carter moves to the side and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Carter cracks Kwok with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A jab from Kwok misses. A jab from Carter misses. Kwok throws a head kick that misses and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kwok ducks under a wild hook from Carter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter jabs at Kwok's body. Kwok tries to clinch up and Carter counters with a nice uppercut. Kwok on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Carter throws a hook to the side of Kwok's head but Kwok sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Carter is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Carter jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kwok looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kwok tries to clinch but Carter moves away and Carter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kwok looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kwok throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab lands there for Carter. Carter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Carter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Kwok's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carter connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kwok scrambles back to his feet.
Kwok is rocked! Carter pounces like a tiger and cracks Kwok with a vicious hook! Kwok is down but not out! Carter follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monkey throws a wild body kick that Miles sees coming a mile off. Monkey throws a leg kick letting Miles counter with a right hand. Monkey thows a leg kick but Miles checks it and Miles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Monkey won't be happy with that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Miles tries to advance to mount but Monkey instead regains half guard. Monkey wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Miles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monkey keeps working. Miles throws a strike but Monkey avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Miles prevents Monkey from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Miles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Monkey is keeping the position for now. Miles wants to control from the top but Monkey keeps moving.
We're going to have a standup here because Kent Miles wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Miles lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Miles throws a lazy uppercut
and Monkey counters with a nice low kick that buckles Miles's knee momentarily. Miles shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Monkey manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Miles advances position into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Monkey has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Miles but great work by Monkey. Monkey wants to stand but Miles has his arm trapped. Miles is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Miles struggling a bit here. Miles looks to move to half guard but instead Monkey has passed into mount! Damn! Monkey is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kent Miles dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Monkey throws a leg kick and Miles counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Monkey! Miles content just to control the position here. Miles goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Monkey is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Miles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monkey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Miles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Monkey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Miles is tightening it up a little... Monkey has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Monkey reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Monkey taps out! nice BJJ there by Miles!

He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Licud throws a low kick but Lapid moves out of range easily. Lapid shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Licud counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lapid thinking. Lapid shoots and misses and Licud counters with a one-two to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lito Lapid. That's going to take a lot out of him. Licud misses with a body shot.
Lapid doesn't succeed with the takedown and Licud counters with a right hand to the body. Lapid with a lazy takedown attempt and Licud counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Licud swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Licud misses with a straight left. Lapid avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Licud swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Licud misses with a hook. Lapid ducked under it nicely. A head kick misses from Licud. Licud throws a low kick but Lapid avoids it. Licud throws a series of punches but Lapid moves out of range. Licud rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lapid moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Licud throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lapid has his takedown stuffed and Licud counters with a three punch combo that has Lapid backing up. Lapid nods at Licud to acknowledge the strikes. Licud throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Lapid counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Licud has control of Lapid's left arm, preventing Lapid from doing any damage. Licud trying to strike off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lapid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lapid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Licud can do anything to dispel that myth. Lapid being controlled here momentarily. Lapid drops back looking for a leg! Licud is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Licud manages to kick Lapid off! Lapid jumps back into Licud's guard. Lapid is pushing down on Licud's leg trying to pass to half guard. Licud is fighting to maintain full guard but Lapid has managed to sneak the leg through. Lapid is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A close third round but Dr Gonzo just about did enough to take it. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A low kick from Zaferani is predictable there letting Gonzo counter with a right hand. Zaferani lands a nice shot that snaps Gonzo's head back.
Nice straight punches there by Zaferani. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zaferani. Gonzo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. That's one minute gone in the round. Zaferani tries to work over Gonzo's front leg with a kick but Gonzo checks it. Gonzo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zaferani avoids it really well and circles away. Gonzo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Zaferani quickly recovers to half guard. Gonzo is keen to just control but Zaferani is a slippery customer. Gonzo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zaferani is in trouble now - Gonzo has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zaferani is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gonzo wants to control the pace but Zaferani is squirming around nicely. Zaferani tries to lock up and control but Gonzo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gonzo goes for an armbar but Zaferani turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Zaferani. Gonzo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zaferani manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzo wants to control from the top but Zaferani keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gonzo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Zaferani can't keep his opponent in guard - Gonzo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gonzo is trying to control the action in half guard but Zaferani is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gonzo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zaferani sees it coming and defends easily. Zaferani is refusing to be controlled, as Gonzo sits in half guard. Gonzo seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dr Gonzo dominated that fourth round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Gonzo has closed the distance and engaged Zaferani in a clinch.
A short right from Zaferani on the inside. Zaferani lands an elbow inside. Gonzo gets through Zaferani's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Gonzo blocks an uppercut.
Gonzo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Zaferani pulls his leg out and moves away.
Zaferani drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Gonzo lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Zaferani. Zaferani misses with an elbow over the top. Gonzo holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Gonzo scores with an uppercut up the middle. Zaferani is pressed up against the cage. Gonzo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zaferani down to the mat. Zaferani avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Gonzo thows a body shot but no joy.

and Zaferani counters with a thumping low kick. Zaferani bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Zaferani tries to keep at a distance but Gonzo has taken the fight into the clinch. Zaferani fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Zaferani is trying to keep an underhook but Gonzo manages to get the takedown into half guard. Gonzo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Zaferani knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzo on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gonzo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gonzo is looking for a kimura but Zaferani is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gonzo to get the leverage. Gonzo is trying to control. Zaferani wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zaferani avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gonzo. Gonzo sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gonzo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zaferani's head. Gonzo wants to control but Zaferani is keeping him busy. Gonzo stalling. Hamid Zaferani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dr Gonzo was stalling too much, according to the referee. Zaferani keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Dr Gonzo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gonzo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
