The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard with a poor takedown

and Sazuki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Howard won't be happy with that.

Sazuki decides to stand up, so the ref orders Howard to his feet.

Sazuki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Howard was covering up waiting for the punch and Sazuki finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sazuki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Howard throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sazuki wants to stand but Howard is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sazuki is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Howard has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sazuki is looking to defend but Howard has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sazuki! Howard pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sazuki taps out and this one is all over!
