We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Ung hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sonnen connects with a nice short shot to Ung's temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sonnen wants to stand but Ung is controlling the position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chael Sonnen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Sonnen feints and as Ung raises his hands in defense, Sonnen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chael Sonnen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sonnen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ung had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sonnen defends it easily.
