4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Knees Clinch! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clinch tries to clinch and Wilkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Clinch's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clinch can do anything to dispel that myth. Clinch has momentary wrist control but Wilkins slips an elbow through the middle. Wilkins trying to control but Clinch is working from the bottom. Wilkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wilkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Clinch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wilkins thows a big elbow that misses. Wilkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Clinch keeping moving, preventing Wilkins from controlling successfully. Wilkins postures up in Clinch's guard and throws a big left but Clinch blocks it. Wilkins controlling from the top position. Wilkins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Clinch's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkins is looking to take a break and control but Clinch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wilkins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Clinch's head. Wilkins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Clinch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilkins is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Clinch! Wilkins landing punches. Wilkins looking to control but Clinch is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wilkins lands a big elbow. Wilkins scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Clinch?
Clinch is looking to get to half guard. Wilkins lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilkins looking to control and managing it successfully. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilkins connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

It looks like Knees Clinch has been cut. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Clinch looks gassed! Wilkins lands a big elbow - Clinch is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Clinch is forced to tap out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green thuds a left hand into DeSouza's body. Green moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Green throws a sloppy head kick and DeSouza moves out of range easily. DeSouza closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Green quickly recovers to half guard. Green is looking for a sweep. DeSouza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Green wants to control but DeSouza is keeping busy and won't allow it. Green keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. DeSouza working over Green with some ground and pound. Green looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Green blocking the ground and pound attempt from DeSouza. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Green is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and DeSouza has latched onto it... Big trouble! DeSouza pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Green is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from DeSouza!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emilio lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Emilio closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Emilio stands up and we're back to a striking position. Skykiller swinging wildly here.
Lamian Emilio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Skykiller cracks Emilio with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Emilio misses with an uppercut. Skykiller throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Emilio moves into the clinch successfully.
Skykiller is trying to drag Emilio to the mat but Emilio just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Skykiller is trying to force a seperation but Emilio has the dominant position. Skykiller tries to break free but Emilio pushes him back against the ropes. Emilio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Emilio throws a sloppy head kick and Skykiller moves out of range easily. Skykiller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Emilio circles away quickly and effectively. Skykiller misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Skykiller looks to land a combination. Emilio sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Skykiller misses with a wild combination.
Emilio gets a clinch. Skykiller fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Emilio manages to break the clinch.
Emilio throws a shot from downtown. Skykiller moves away and avoids it. Emilio looks for the body kick but Skykiller saw that one coming. A chopping leg kick lands by Emilio. Emilio misses with a head kick.
Emilio throws a front kick that sends Skykiller stumbling back into the ropes. Skykiller looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Emilio misses with a wild combination.
Skykiller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Emilio to score an easy takedown into full guard. Emilio stands and throws Skykiller's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emilio controlling the position from side mount. Emilio stands up and beckons Skykiller to his feet. Emilio has managed to clinch.
Emilio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emilio misses with a combination
and Skykiller counters with a two punch combo. A punch combination from Emilio misses. A combination from Skykiller does no damage. Emilio throws a combination that misses enabling Skykiller to counter with a crisp jab. Skykiller throws a series of punches but Emilio moves out of range. Emilio takes one to the side of the head.
Skykiller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Skykiller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Emilio throws a left and a right that both miss
and Skykiller counters with a left and a right that stings Emilio. Skykiller with a jab. Emilio is looking to clinch but Skykiller is avoiding it.
Skykiller sizes up Emilio with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Skykiller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Emilio misses with a head kick.
Emilio pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Skykiller needs to keep his hands up - Emilio had a free shot at his head there. Emilio tries to clinch there but Skykiller circles away.

Skykiller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Skykiller goes for a small jab and connects. Now Skykiller goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Emilio stumbles back but Skykiller runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Emilio to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Emilio will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Rodriguez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Johnson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodriguez tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodriguez to the ground. Rodriguez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rodriguez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it. Johnson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rodriguez tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rodriguez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rodriguez misses with a leg kick and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson works his way into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Johnson batters Rodriguez with a massive right followed by a huge left! Rodriguez is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Johnson lands a final crushing right hand to drop Rodriguez to the mat with a gruesome thud! Johnson is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Whyte. Whyte misses with a takedown attempt and Vengeance counters by moving into the clinch. Whyte letting Vengeance take a breather here. Vengeance looking to throw knees to the head but Whyte is blocking nicely.
Vengeance blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vengeance lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Jacob Whyte has been cut. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Whyte tries to pull guard but Vengeance won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Whyte. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vengeance gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Whyte looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Vengeance lands a nice elbow. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Vengeance. Vengeance crunches a lovely knee into Whyte's ribcage. Whyte really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Vengeance just leaning against Whyte, taking a breather. Whyte gets control of Vengeance's arms and successfully pulls guard. Whyte will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Vengeance is stalling in the full guard. Vengeance stands up and waves to Whyte to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vengeance's waist but Vengeance gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Whyte off to one side. Whyte throws a head kick that misses. Whyte misses with the combination.
A solid leg kick lands there for Vengeance.
Vengeance throws a head kick but Whyte moves out of range.
Whyte with a lazy takedown attempt and Vengeance counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Vengeance comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Nice elbow from Vengeance. Knees to the body from Vengeance.
Whyte is breathing heavily. Vengeance controlling the action here for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on Vengeance's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Vengeance using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Vengeance content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Whyte jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vengeance walks away with a smile on his face. Whyte gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Whyte throws a leg kick that is checked and Vengeance counters with a body kick. Whyte drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Whyte shoots in looking for a takedown. Vengeance tries to sprawl out of it but Whyte keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Vengeance manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vengeance lands a big head kick that sends Whyte tumbling to the mat! Vengeance takes a step backwards and waves Whyte back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Whyte is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Whyte gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Vengeance gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Whyte is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mister Vengeance!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loco closes the distance and pushes Gorvinskichev back into the ropes. Loco gets control of Gorvinskichev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Loco will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Loco doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Gorvinskichev engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Gorvinskichev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gorvinskichev trying to control but Loco is working from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gorvinskichev decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Loco falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Gorvinskichev counter with a right hand. Loco fails to land the takedown. Loco darts in trying to clinch and Gorvinskichev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Loco is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gorvinskichev cracks Loco with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gorvinskichev has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Loco to stand back up!
That's one minute gone in the round. A big right followed by a crushing left from Gorvinskichev knocks Loco out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ronin slips under a jab. Sagat uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ronin. Sagat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ronin was well out of range. Poor timing from Sagat. Sagat goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Blaze Ronin has been cut. A combination from Ronin does no damage. Ronin tries a head kick but it misses.
Ronin checks a leg kick nicely. Sagat thows a leg kick but Ronin checks it and Ronin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ronin tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sagat counters with a nice kick to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sagat throws a sloppy head kick and Ronin moves out of range easily. Sagat looks to throw a body kick and Ronin counters with a good, hard body kick but Sagat shrugs it off. Sagat throws a head kick that misses and Ronin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sagat tries a head kick but it misses.
Sagat misses with a low kick. Ronin blocks a head kick by Sagat.
A head kick misses from Sagat. Sagat fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ronin checks it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ronin checks a leg kick nicely. Sagat throws a push kick but Ronin slaps the foot to one side. Sagat throws a lazy head kick and Ronin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sagat's guard. Ronin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ronin pushes down on Sagat's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sagat looks gassed! Sagat wants to control but Ronin is keeping busy.
Ronin seems to be working for a kimura but Sagat defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ronin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sagat is just riding it out for now. Ronin eventually gives up the hold. Ronin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sagat does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Mendes! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vendo was covering up waiting for the punch and Mendes finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mendes trying to control but Vendo is working from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Mendes looking to sit in guard and control but Vendo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vendo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendes seems keen to control Vendo's posture. Mendes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vendo defends well. Vendo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mendes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mendes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mendes! Vendo is not content to let Mendes control the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Matheus Mendes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mendes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vendo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vendo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mendes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vendo, into his guard. Mendes pushes down on Vendo's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mendes trying to control the action but Vendo is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Matheus Mendes. A momentary lapse in concentration from Mendes enables Vendo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mendes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Vendo has gone for a leg lock! Mendes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vendo's guard. Mendes content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Vendo has locked up a guillotine! Vendo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Mendes is holding on here and Vendo must be using up a lot of energy. Mendes has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Vendo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
