3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wandinho has his takedown stuffed and St Pierre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wandinho wants to sweep but no luck. Wandinho is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and St Pierre defends well. Wandinho trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wandinho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. St Pierre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. St Pierre drops back looking for a leg! Wandinho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wandinho manages to kick St Pierre off! St Pierre jumps back into Wandinho's guard. Wandinho is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and St Pierre defends well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wandinho looking for a sweep. Not yet Wandinho, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wandinho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. St Pierre has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Wandinho to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! St Pierre is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Wandinho pulls down on the head and he's put St Pierre to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Larsen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Larsen taking a bit of punishment here - Griffin scoring with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin swings around for an armbar but Larsen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Griffin's guard. Larsen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Larsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Larsen wants to get up but he can't break Griffin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larsen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Griffin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Griffin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Griffin! Griffin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin lands an elbow. Griffin trying to control the action but Larsen is working from the bottom. Larsen tries to escape but Griffin is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larsen keeps working. Griffin is working to tighten is grip on Larsen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Larsen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Griffin is really squeezing tight and eventually Larsen passes out! Griffin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

It looks like Bobby Sparks has been cut. Sparks wants to clinch enabling Martini to counter with a crisp jab. Sparks doesn't manage to clinch there - Martini circles away.
Sparks throws a hook but Martini blocks it. Bobby Sparks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martini slips under a jab. Good leg kick by Sparks there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Martini gets caught flat footed, as Sparks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Martini avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sparks is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Martini is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Sparks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sparks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martini swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sparks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. This has been an exciting period of action! Martini working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sparks. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
