 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crawley scores with a jab to the body. Tremolo is breathing heavily. Tremolo wants to clinch but Crawley slips to the side and Crawley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Crawley thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Tremolo if he has to take too many more of those.
Crawley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tremolo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tremolo blocks a head kick by Crawley.

It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

And that's the end of the fight! John Crawley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Crawley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gore thows a body shot but no joy. Garcia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Garcia shoots in looking for a takedown. Gore tries to sprawl out of it but Garcia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gore manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Garcia misses with a takedown attempt

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Garcia can do anything to dispel that myth. Garcia stops Gore from passing to mount.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howard slips a jab and a cross from Lang.
A leg kick checked by Lang. Lang swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lang lands with a good body shot. A head kick misses from Howard. Lang tries to clinch but Howard moves away
and Howard holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Howard crunches a lovely knee into Lang's ribcage. Lang tries to break the clinch but Howard is controlling the position. Lang managing to block the knees to the body from Howard.

Howard looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lang is trying to push Howard away but Howard has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lang lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Lang could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lang pushes Howard back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Sakazaki.

and Sakazaki counters with a nice kick to the body. Sakazaki lands with a kick to the temple. Lips shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Lips is looking to clinch.
Lips closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lips seems to be working for a kimura but Sakazaki defends the submission attempt. Lips looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sakazaki trying to control but Lips postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lips is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sakazaki defends it well. Lips is controlling the pace.

Lips gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lips gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lips showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sakazaki wants to sweep here but Lips controlling him for the moment. Lips looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lips throws a big right hand that misses.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lips is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lips will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
 Thunder Lips has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lips drives through with a powerful takedown. That's hurt Sakazaki! Lips arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sakazaki's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Matrix throws out a loose jab but Turner uses good head movement to avoid it. Matrix misses with a body shot.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Matrix swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Matrix dodges the punch combination from Turner.
Matrix fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it. Matrix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Turner. A punch combination from Turner misses. Turner swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Matrix makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Turner is breathing heavily. Matrix fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Turner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Turner walks into a jab. Turner takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Matrix moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.
Matrix rushes Turner and presses him up against the cage. Matrix presses Turner against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Turner has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Matrix is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A hook to the body from Matrix.
Matrix lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Matrix wants to break free but Turner has control.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Matrix's elbow. Matrix is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Matrix fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

A battle for position here, against the cage. Turner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matrix fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Matrix stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Matrix fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Matrix scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Turner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Turner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matrix moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Matrix connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Turner! He's out on his feet! Matrix rushes in and drops Turner with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Long feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Creed's calf. Creed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Long. Long seems to have recovered his senses. Creed throws a big shot that misses. Creed is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Long darts in trying to clinch and Creed counters with a stiff right hand. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Long - that will leave a mark!

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eiji Kisaragi! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beastman shoots in for a double leg but Kisaragi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. The Beastman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beastman is breathing heavily. Kisaragi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kisaragi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kisaragi tries a head kick but it misses.

Beastman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kisaragi to the mat! Kisaragi manages to get full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
