Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michal Bicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Albright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bicki comes into the arena with Entrance blaring out of the sound system. Vladimir Albright will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Albright shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Albright trying to control the position from guard on top but Bicki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bicki working a defensive guard here.
Albright content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bicki has locked up a guillotine! Bicki's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Albright is holding on here and Bicki must be using up a lot of energy. Albright has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bicki gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simek swings away with a leg kick that misses. Nice sprawl there from Silmu as Simek shoots in. Simek looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Silmu scores with a takedown into Simek's guard. Silmu throwing strikes from guard but Simek blocks nicely. Simek keeping moving, preventing Silmu from controlling successfully. Simek looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Silmu passes into side control.
Simek is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Simek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silmu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Simek tries to buck Silmu off but Silmu is having none of it. Simek is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silmu is controlling him well. Simek is not content to let Silmu control the position. Silmu misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Silmu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Silmu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Simek is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Silmu are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Silmu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Simek has escaped the position, nice work there. Silmu wants to control but Simek is keeping him busy. Simek tries to improve position but can't. Silmu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Simek is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simek is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Simek pushes Silmu off looking to stand but Silmu dives back in and keeps control.
Simek should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Simek is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Simek wants to control but Silmu is keeping busy.

Simek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Simek can do anything to dispel that myth. Simek looks like he's trying to stand up.

Silmu stalling away here and it's allowed Simek to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Simek wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Silmu is now in half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silmu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Simek's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Simek is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin leaves Balboa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Balboa. Griffin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Griffin connects with a body shot. Griffin with a jab. Griffin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Griffin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Parker Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A low kick from Griffin is predictable there and Balboa counters with a three punch combo that has Griffin backing up. Griffin nods at Balboa to acknowledge the strikes. Balboa moves out of range of the body kick from Griffin.
Good shot there by Griffin. Griffin stuffs the takedown attempt from Balboa. Balboa gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Balboa misses with a double jab

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A short left from Griffin. Griffin lands with a right to the head. Balboa throws a knee to the head but misses.

Griffin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Balboa looking to throw knees to the head but Griffin is blocking nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Balboa is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Parker Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Balboa walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Griffin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Griffin misses with a series of wild punches.
Griffin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Griffin.
A left lands for Griffin. A decent looking cross lands there for Griffin. Balboa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Griffin to score with a decent uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Griffin throws a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Griffin with a body punch. A glancing blow. Balboa has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Balboa there as he acknowledges the shot. Griffin throws a wild body kick that Balboa sees coming a mile off. Griffin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Griffin scores with a jab to the body. Griffin scores with a jab. Balboa acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Griffin tries a low kick but Balboa avoids it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Griffin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Griffin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Griffin lands on the inside with an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Balboa tries to land a knee to the head but Griffin blocks with his arms.

Griffin works Balboa's body with a nice hook. Griffin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Griffin lands a nice shot to the body.
Griffin cracks a nice hook into Balboa's ribs. Parker Griffin seems to be getting the better of the standup. Griffin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Balboa on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Balboa takes a shot right to the bread basket. Griffin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Balboa shoots for a double leg takedown but Griffin sprawls well. He's pushed Balboa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Griffin connects with a body shot. Griffin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Nice body punch from Griffin. Balboa moves forwards but Griffin connects with a nice, crisp jab. Balboa takes a shot right to the bread basket. Griffin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Griffin connects with a body shot that sends Balboa's belly button to the back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! No joy there for Griffin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Parker Griffin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The judges will like that one. Balboa tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Griffin counters with a straight right hand. Balboa checks a leg kick nicely. Griffin connects with a looping right hand.

Griffin throws a right and a left that both miss. Griffin lands a jab to the nose. Balboa is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Griffin scores with a jab to the head.
Balboa looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Griffin scores with a shot to the body.

A punch combination from Griffin misses. Griffin's corner calls for a 1-2. Griffin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Griffin lunges at Balboa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Balboa's hand. Griffin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Balboa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Balboa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Griffin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Balboa takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice shot lands for Griffin. Rocky Balboa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Balboa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Rocky Balboa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Griffin delivers a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa takes a shot right to the bread basket. Griffin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Griffin digs a good body shot into Balboa's ribs. Griffin connects with a jab. Balboa's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Griffin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Balboa scrambles back to his feet. Balboa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Griffin lands a jab to Balboa's midsection. Griffin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Griffin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. An inside leg kick lands from Griffin. Griffin lands a jab-cross combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Griffin works Balboa's body with a nice hook. Griffin throws a good cross that connects.

Griffin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Griffin tests Balboa's chin there with a solid looking shot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Griffin scores with a jab to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Parker Griffin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Griffin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacLain misses with a takedown attempt so Mangara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Mangara gets to his feet. MacLain looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Mangara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but MacLain was well out of range. Poor timing from Mangara. Mangara lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. MacLain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mangara as he jumps to the side. Horrible takedown by MacLain or perhaps it was just good defense by Mangara which made him look bad. Tashiro Mangara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. MacLain fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mangara avoids it really well and circles away. Mangara clobbers MacLain with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mangara drops MacLain with a naaaaasty hook - MacLain is in real trouble here! Mangara dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow fails with the takedown. Snow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chen counters with a lovely shot to the body. Snow with a lazy takedown attempt and Snow takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Snow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chen sizes up Snow with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Snow fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Good shot there by Chen. Chen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Snow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Snow is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Snow is breathing heavily. Snow doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Chen drops Snow with a beautiful combination! Snow stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Chen is looking for the KO! Oh Snow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Snow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Chen closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Snow out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Dredd thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sagajew wants to get back to his feet.

Dredd decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Sagajew looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Dredd is nestled in close to Sagajew, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sagajew is refusing to be controlled, as Dredd sits in half guard. Sagajew won't allow Dredd to pass to mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sagajew is not content to let Dredd control the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sagajew is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dredd scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Dredd dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dredd turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dredd is trying to get an arm triangle but Sagajew is defending well. Sagajew is looking to regain half guard here but Dredd keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dredd scoring with punches and elbows. Dredd working the ground and pound. Dredd looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dredd lands a few punches from side control. Sagajew is breathing heavily. Dredd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sagajew is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dredd looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sagajew is avoiding damage well.
Sagajew avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dredd. Dredd working the head and body with strikes. Dredd trying to control the position but Sagajew is working away. Dredd misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sagajew stops Dredd from passing to mount.

Dredd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sagajew keeps working. Dredd lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sagajew down.
Dredd remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sagajew managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dredd.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sagajew wants to control but Dredd postures up. An elbow from Dredd crashes against the mat.
Tony Dredd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dredd working the ground and pound from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sagajew taking punishment in the form of punches.
Dredd lands some shots froms side control. Dredd tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sagajew's legs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dredd wants to control but Sagajew is keeping him busy. Sagajew is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dredd connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sagajew stands up from Dredd's guard - Sagajew perhaps looking for a knockout. Sagajew tries to clinch but Dredd is having none of it. Sagajew lands with a good body shot. Tony Dredd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dredd moves in looking to clinch but Sagajew pushes him off. Sagajew throws a shot to the body.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sagajew stuffs the takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dredd is defended easily by Sagajew. Dredd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sagajew scores with a one two! Dredd had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Dredd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sagajew tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dredd paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tony Dredd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sagajew is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Dredd tries to clinch but Sagajew moves out of range. A nice combination there by Sagajew.
Sagajew shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dredd as he avoids it easily. Sagajew missing with a left hand there. Dredd was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dredd moves into the clinch. Dredd has Sagajew pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dredd pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Sagajew tumbling to the mat - Dredd dives into Sagajew's guard. Dredd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sagajew is keeping the position for now. Ruslan Sagajew has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dredd throwing strikes but missing. Dredd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sagajew on the ground. Dredd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sagajew is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dredd missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dredd pushes down on Sagajew's leg and manages to get into half guard. Tony Dredd is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sagajew is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dredd pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tony Dredd. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dredd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Jefferson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paxio on the ground. Paxio looking to secure an arm triangle but Jefferson defends it well. Paxio has control of Jefferson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jefferson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jefferson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Paxio is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jefferson has managed to free his arm - good work. Paxio is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kazushi Sakuraba! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab from Sakuraba. Ward shoots and misses and Sakuraba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ward. Ward with a lazy takedown attempt letting Sakuraba counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Ward. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ward closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sakuraba circles away. Sakuraba works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ward misses with a body shot.
Ward avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sakuraba gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sakuraba works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Ward is breathing heavily. Ward is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Sakuraba gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sakuraba creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ward's defenses. Ward tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ward dodges an elbow strike from Sakuraba.
Sakuraba misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ward.
Sakuraba throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Nice elbow from Sakuraba. Sakuraba comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. A bit of stalling here from Sakuraba.
Sakuraba lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Ward takes an elbow to the forehead. Sakuraba scores with a nice hook to the head. Still in the clinch, Sakuraba scores with a nice short uppercut. Ward avoids a wild elbow strike from Sakuraba. A short body shot lands from Sakuraba as the two fighters clinch.
Ward is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sakuraba pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sakuraba displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ward up against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sakuraba continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Ward tries to pull guard but Sakuraba holds him up against the ropes and eventually Ward drops back down to his feet.
Sakuraba scores with a shot to the side of Ward's head. Sakuraba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sakuraba takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ward is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sakuraba is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Ward hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
