Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mini Me! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nino Cabreros! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabreros has a takedown stuffed. Me defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cabreros. Cabreros on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cabreros dives in and grabs Me's left leg, looking for a takedown. Me pushes down on Cabreros's head and hops out. Mini Me has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nino Cabreros. The fighters circling - Me throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Decent striking displayed by Me there. Nice defenses there by Cabreros. Me misses the shot to the body. Cabreros has his takedown stuffed enabling Me to counter with a crisp jab. Cabreros fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cabreros misses with a leg kick and Me counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cabreros keeps the fight on the outside. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cabreros. Cabreros has a takedown stuffed. Cabreros looks to land a body kick but Me moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabreros tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Me swivels and escapes. Me misses with a straight left. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cabreros. Cabreros looks gassed! Cabreros slips a jab from Me. Me fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cabreros, pushing him back against the cage. Cabreros tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Me just stands there and leans against the cage. Cabreros struggles to land a body shot inside as Me controls his hands.
Me pushes Cabreros back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Me misses with the head strike.
Cabreros throws a head punch that misses. Cabreros misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cabreros is trying to break the clinch but Me is controlling him. Me lands a shot to the body. Me displaying some good clinch control by pressing Cabreros up against the cage. A right hand to the body from Me.
Me working Cabreros over with knees to the body. Me lands a body shot. A short left from Me.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Me lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cabreros backwards. Me lands a nice shot to the body. A nice left hand lands by Me.
Cabreros on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Me lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Me presses Cabreros against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A short right hand to the side of the head by Me. Me blocks a body shot from Cabreros. Me lands a hook to the side of the head. Cabreros throws a punch but it's blocked by Me. Me lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Me lands a right hand. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Me. Me gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cabreros.
Me lands a nice uppercut. Me tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Me digs a right hand into Cabreros's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cabreros's gas tank. Me lands with a short head shot on the inside. Me utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Me lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cabreros backwards. Me slows down the pace here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Me lands a body punch in the clinch. Me lands a shot to the body. A shot in the inside from Me. Me lands a shoulder strike. Me working some nice short punches in the clinch. Me connects with a nasty looking knee right to Cabreros's face.

Me lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Cabreros tries for a takedown but Me manages to get underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Me lands on the inside with an uppercut. Cabreros tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Me smiles and moves away.
Me is looking to clinch. Cabreros shoots for a takedown but Me saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cabreros circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cabreros shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Me as he jumps to the side. Left hook, right uppercut from Me. Me misses with a straight left. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cabreros turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Me scores with a jab. Cabreros shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Me as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mini Me dominated that round. That's time! Me's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cabreros shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Me waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cabreros. Cabreros gets a takedown into half guard. Me makes his way to full guard, as Cabreros worked for a kimura.
Me wants to stand and escape but Cabreros is having none of it. Cabreros is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabreros engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Cabreros trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cabreros wants to control from the top but Me keeps moving. Cabreros working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Me's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cabreros trying to control but Me is working from the bottom. Me is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cabreros working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cabreros has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Me keeping full guard, as Cabreros tries to pass. Cabreros missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabreros stops Me from standing up. Cabreros thows a big elbow that misses. Cabreros showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cabreros trying to control but Me is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nino Cabreros was stalling too much, according to the referee. Me checks the leg kick. Cabreros drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Cabreros thows a big elbow that misses. Cabreros wants to control from the top but Me keeps moving. Cabreros throws and elbow that misses. Me uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cabreros's guard. Nice move by Me! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Me won't allow Cabreros to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nino Cabreros showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Cabreros shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Me but Me pushes him off and we're back to square one. Me tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cabreros was well out of range. Poor timing from Me. Cabreros drives through with a takedown into guard. Cabreros won't allow Me to get back to his feet. Cabreros wants to control from the top but Me keeps moving. Cabreros postures up in Me's guard and throws a big left but Me blocks it. Me keeping moving, preventing Cabreros from controlling successfully. Cabreros takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Me wants to stand up but Cabreros is controlling him. Cabreros is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cabreros trying to control the position from guard on top but Me is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cabreros throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cabreros thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cabreros showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cabreros throwing strikes from guard but Me blocks nicely. Cabreros is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Me keeping moving, preventing Cabreros from controlling successfully. Cabreros is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Cabreros is stalling in the full guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Nino Cabreros wasn't active enough on the ground. Cabreros fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Me.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cabreros uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Me.
Cabreros swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cabreros throws a jab but it's blocked by Me. Me tries to clinch but Cabreros moves out of range. Cabreros pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mini Me is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cabreros closes the distance but Me moves to the side and Me counters with a straight right hand. Me slaps away a takedown attempt from Cabreros, before circling back to the center of the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cabreros is looking to clinch. Cabreros throws a chopping leg kick but Me manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Nino Cabreros comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cabreros has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bundy scores with the left hand. Grunt knows he should have avoided that one. Bundy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Grunt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Bundy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bundy misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Grunt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bundy moves into the clinch. Grunt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bundy closes the distance looking to clinch and Grunt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bundy's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grunt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Grunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Bundy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grunt forces his way into half guard. Bundy tries to kick Grunt off in order to stand up. Grunt Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Bundy tries to improve position but can't. Bundy being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grunt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bundy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Grunt prevents Bundy from escaping the position. Grunt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bundy has escaped the position, nice work there. Grunt creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bundy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Grunt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bundy, who protects the arm well. Grunt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bundy tries to escape but Grunt is in control. Grunt trying to control the position but Bundy is working away. Bundy prevents Grunt from moving into mount. Bundy is trying to get back to his feet. Bundy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grunt on the ground. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bundy is trying to improve his position. Grunt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bundy is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bundy struggling a bit here. Grunt works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Grunt wants to control but Bundy is keeping him busy. Grunt lands a few punches from side control. Bundy takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Bundy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Grunt off and has taken his back! Grunt turns into Bundy and is now in his guard.
Grunt trying to control but Bundy is working from the bottom. Bundy wants to stand and escape but Grunt is having none of it. Bundy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grunt pushes down on Bundy's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bundy pushes Grunt off looking to stand but Grunt dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bundy looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bundy is breathing heavily. Bundy is staying active underneath Grunt, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bundy manages to get to full guard.
Grunt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Grunt advances to mount. Grunt jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bundy manages to avoid the submission attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bundy is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tankov lands with a slapping head kick. Jawo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tankov. Jawo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Tankov throws a body kick that misses. An inside leg kick lands from Tankov. Tankov moves into the clinch. Jawo lands with a short punch from the clinch.

It looks like Jose Protacio Jawo has been cut. Jawo scores with a nice hook to the head. Tankov throws an elbow that misses.
Jawo swings wildly with an uppercut but Tankov uses good head movement to avoid it. A head punch blocked on the inside by Tankov. Tankov gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jawo is doing well to control the position and prevent Tankov from advancing to side control. Jawo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tankov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tankov's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tankov is trying to break free.
Jawo gets his hands free as Tankov looks to control. Tankov covering up well under a barage of strikes. Will Jawo go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Tankov is covering up but some of the strikes from Jawo are getting through and doing damage.
Tankov is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Jawo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Tankov avoids the strikes from Jawo. Jawo not allowing Tankov to control his hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tankov looking very determined here, making life difficult for Jawo.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jawo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tankov manages to get himself to full guard.

Jawo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tankov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jawo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tankov, into his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adis Tankov will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jose Protacio Jawo's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jawo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tankov. Tankov takes one on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tankov has closed the distance and engaged Jawo in a clinch.

He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tankov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jawo tumbling to the mat - Tankov dives into Jawo's guard. Tankov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jawo is keeping the position for now. Jawo seems keen to control Tankov's posture. Jawo keeping moving, preventing Tankov from controlling successfully. Tankov sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Adis Tankov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Tankov misses with a leg kick. Tankov throws a leg kick and Jawo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tankov blocks a body shot from Jawo. A nice glancing elbow lands by Tankov. Tankov avoids a wild elbow strike from Jawo. Tankov lands an elbow inside. Jawo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Adis Tankov has been cut.

Tankov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Jawo swings wildly with an uppercut but Tankov uses good head movement to avoid it. Jawo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
With the fighters up against the cage, Jawo throws an elbow but misses. Tankov is looking to control Jawo's arms but Jawo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tankov has his back to the cage. Tankov avoids the elbow strike from Jawo, against the cage.
Tankov is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Tankov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jawo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Tankov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jawo prevents it.
Jose Protacio Jawo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adis Tankov. Still in the clinch, Jawo scores with a nice short uppercut. Jawo being controlled against the cage. Jawo misses with a hook from the clinch. Tankov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jawo walks away with a smile on his face. Tankov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tankov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tankov gets off balance looking for a body kick and Jawo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tankov thinking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tankov lands a head kick. Jawo smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Jawo scores with a body shot.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mellark, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harvath throws a leg kick and TBjang counters with a left to the body. Harvath thows a leg kick but TBjang checks it and TBjang counters with a lovely shot to the body. TBjang connects with a looping right hand.

TBjang swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Harvath is now in TBjang's guard. A big mistake from TBjang there, giving up the dominant position! TBjang is wriggling around but Harvath manages to pass to half guard.

TBjang is looking to control Harvath's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can TBjang avoid being mounted? Harvath missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
