This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wright shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wright lands a big shot there that rocks Lumens but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Yan does no damage.
Yan slaps away a takedown attempt from Halo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Yan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Yan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Halo quickly recovers to half guard.
Halo is looking to improve his position.

Yan tries to stand and escape but Halo is controlling the position.

Yan escapes and gets back to his feet.
Yan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Halo counters with a good low kick that Yan was not able to check.
Halo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yan tries to avoid it but Halo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yan to the ground. Yan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Halo looks for a takedown but Yan sprawls well.

Rodrigo gets caught flat footed, as Sarcoma shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Sarcoma is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rodrigo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rodrigo has escaped and now he's on top!

Sarcoma is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rodrigo is aware though and is defending well.
Sarcoma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Atreides checks a leg kick.

Leto II Atreides seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Atreides counters with a nice leg kick.

Atreides dances in with a quick combination. Kynis is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Atreides snaps Kynis's head back. Kynis stumbles backwards against the cage. Atreides steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Kynis's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Kynis just didn't come prepared.
