3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Seithman! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flores tries to clinch but Seithman moves out of range. Flores throws a sloppy head kick and Seithman moves out of range easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Seithman lands a nice looking body shot.
Flores wants to clinch. Flores is looking to clinch. Seithman bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Flores tries to clinch up but Seithman circles away and keeps his distance. Flores walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Flores moves in looking to clinch but Seithman pushes him off. Seithman lands a jab to Flores's midsection. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Seithman moves out of range as Flores throws a body kick.
Seithman circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Flores to the canvas! Flores doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Seithman keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Situation defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abessera. Abessera misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Abessera fails to land with a series of punches.
Abessera on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Situation. Situation obviously looking to wear him down.
A punch combination from Situation misses. Situation throws a low kick, looking for Abessera's leg but Abessera calmly moves out of range. Situation uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Abessera.

It looks like The Situation has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A chopping leg kick lands by Situation. Abessera lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Situation circles away quickly and effectively. Situation delivers a nice body kick. Abessera is breathing heavily. A swing and a miss from Abessera. Situation throws a sloppy head kick and Abessera moves out of range easily. Situation throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's one minute gone in the round. Situation misses with a looping right. Abessera cracks Situation with a right hand to the side of the head. Situation with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Abessera fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Situation lands a nice leg kick that just misses Abessera's sensitive parts. Situation ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abessera moves away. Situation displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Abessera. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julien Abessera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abessera takes a swing at Situation's ribcage but misses. Abessera throws a jab when Situation was well out of range. Abessera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Situation lands with a kick to the ribs.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abessera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Abessera misses and Situation counters with a left to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Situation tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Situation changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Situation uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Abessera has time to react. Situation stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Situation scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Abessera. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Situation throws a head kick that misses. The Situation is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Situation lands with a kick to the ribs.
A punch combination from Situation misses. Situation lands a big head kick that sends Abessera tumbling to the mat! Situation takes a step backwards and waves Abessera back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Abessera is rocked! Situation connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Oh Abessera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Abessera misses with a hook. Situation throws a head kick that misses. Abessera seems to have got his legs back now. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Abessera checks a leg kick. Abessera tries to close the distance and clinch but Situation swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abessera looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. No luck with that takedown attempt from Abessera. No joy there for Abessera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Situation, right into the meat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Situation throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Situation moves out of range as Abessera strikes. Abessera throws a series of punches but Situation moves out of range. Situation scores with the left hand. Abessera knows he should have avoided that one. Abessera fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A slow jab from Abessera misses its intended target. Situation throws a head kick but Abessera moves out of range.

Situation tries to break free but Abessera pushes him back against the cage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Abessera unloads a knee to the mid-section. Abessera content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Situation is trying to break the clinch but Abessera is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abessera is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Situation turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Abessera throws a right and a left that Situation avoids nicely. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Abessera throws a lazy right hand but Situation sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. No luck for Abessera with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julien Abessera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abessera takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Situation counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abessera thinking. Situation connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Situation lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abessera wants to clinch. Abessera showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Situation.
Abessera shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Situation defends it nicely. Situation throws a head kick that half lands.
Abessera will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Situation lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Abessera has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Abessera and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Abessera is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Situation throws a quick inside leg kick. Abessera avoids the head kick by Situation.
Abessera steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Situation. Situation lands a leg kick that knocks Abessera off balance momentarily. Abessera takes a shot right to the bread basket. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Situation lands with a shot to the body. Abessera shoots in looking for a takedown. Situation tries to sprawl out of it but Abessera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Situation manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Abessera shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Bertilson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Bertilson is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bertilson throws a hook to the side of Surtr's head but Surtr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Surtr throws a head kick that half lands.

Bertilson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Surtr. Surtr throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. A chopping leg kick lands by Surtr. Bertilson has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Surtr feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bertilson's calf. Surtr lands with a thumping leg kick.

Bertilson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Holcomb lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Ironshield sprawling to the canvas. Holcomb follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Ironshield hang on? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ironshield is refusing to be controlled, as Holcomb sits in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Holcomb is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Holcomb wants to control but Ironshield is keeping him busy. Ironshield is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holcomb steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ironshield. Nice defenses there by Holcomb. No joy there for Ironshield, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Holcomb moves into range and connects with a jab. Holcomb moves out of range as Ironshield strikes. Holcomb drops Ironshield with a right and a left! Holcomb comes rushing in but Ironshield regains his composure and manages to keep Holcomb in guard.

Ironshield wants to stand but Holcomb is controlling the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Holcomb trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Harvey Holcomb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ironshield is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Holcomb trying to control the position from guard on top but Ironshield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ironshield wants to stand but Holcomb is controlling the position. Holcomb wants to control from the top but Ironshield keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Holcomb controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We're going to have a standup here because Harvey Holcomb wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ironshield throws a series of punches but Holcomb avoids them all with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Harvey Holcomb will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Holcomb's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ironshield throws a combination that misses and Holcomb counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Holcomb misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Ironshield shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holcomb defends it nicely. Ironshield takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Ironshield takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Holcomb cracks Ironshield with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ironshield tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Holcomb pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ironshield is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
