Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bloggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Connery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connery has chosen Bond.. James Bond as his entrance music. Sean Connery struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bloggs drives through and clinches with Connery against the cage.
Bloggs is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Bloggs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Connery avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bloggs lands a takedown into guard.
Connery is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bloggs is controlling him. Bloggs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bloggs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bloggs decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Connery, up you get! Bloggs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bloggs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Connery avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bloggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bloggs moves into the clinch. Connery prevents a takedown attempt there.
Connery is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bloggs is defending well for now. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Connery. Connery misses with a knee strike.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bloggs goes for a takedown attempt but Connery pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connery shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bloggs's guard. Connery wants to stand but Bloggs has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Connery got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bloggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Connery has managed to get both his arms back between Bloggs's legs - danger averted. Bloggs has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Connery doesn't defend quickly enough and Bloggs has managed to lock this one up! Can Connery escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bloggs on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zufall gets a double leg takedown into Kosarev's guard. Kosarev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Zufall looking to pass the guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zufall's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Zufall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kosarev, up you get! Zufall gets in close and instigates a clinch. Zufall lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Zufall lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Zufall slows down the pace here.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zufall gets control of Kosarev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Zufall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Zufall pulls Kosarev in close to prevent any damage. Zufall lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kosarev!
That's one minute gone in the round. Zufall connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Zufall controlling from mount. Zufall avoids the attempt from Kosarev to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zufall controlling the pace for now. Kosarev tries to hold on but Zufall postures up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zufall is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kosarev has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Zufall has hold of Kosarev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kosarev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zufall has control of Kosarev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kosarev regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zufall with a couple of short strikes. Zufall scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Zufall landing strikes, looking to finish! Zufall postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kosarev looks a forlorn figure.
Kosarev is rocked! Zufall is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kosarev to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kosarev shrugs it off. Oh Kosarev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Zufall landing strikes from the mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Oooooh, big shot lands for Zufall! Kosarev is hurt baaadly! Zufall is firing away with more strikes - Kosarev is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flynn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Penaflorida. Flynn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Penaflorida connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Flynn scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Tobias Flynn has been cut. Nice uppercut there from Penaflorida. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Flynn looks up at the clock. Bad move! Penaflorida lands a right hand from hell, dropping Flynn. Penaflorida pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Korczynski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Berdowski. Berdowski avoids the head kick by Korczynski.
Korczynski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Berdowski, pushing him back against the cage. Korczynski is trying to force a seperation but Berdowski has the dominant position. Korczynski can't break the clinch.
Berdowski has Korczynski pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Korczynski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Korczynski prevents the takedown attempt.

Berdowski keeps control of Korczynski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Berdowski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Korczynski walks away with a smile on his face. Berdowski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Berdowski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Berdowski shoots in but Korczynski avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Korczynski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Korczynski wants it to stay on the feet. An inside leg kick lands from Korczynski. Korczynski clinches up with Berdowski and pushes him back against the cage. Korczynski wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Berdowski has him pressed against the cage. Korczynski is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Berdowski jumps guard and drags Korczynski to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Korczynski is posturing up here but Berdowski has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Korczynski tries to roll out but it's too tight and Korczynski has to tap! Slick submission there by Berdowski!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Purcell misses with a few strikes there.
Purcell motions for Lindback to come forward. Purcell throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Lindback ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Lindback lands a leg kick that knocks Purcell off balance momentarily. Purcell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lindback fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Purcell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Purcell tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Good shot there by Lindback. Lindback scores with a head kick. Purcell tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Purcell swings widly with a right hand
and Lindback connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Purcell is rocked! Lindback lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Purcell head around and knocks him out cold! Lindback hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bajramaj displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab. Some bone on bone action there as Bajramaj checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Bajramaj misses with a takedown attempt and Smith counters with a nice uppercut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bajramaj is defended easily by Smith. Smith connects with an inside leg kick. Bajramaj misses the jab. Smith throws a head kick that misses. Bajramaj shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Bajramaj. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bajramaj connects with a body shot. Darren Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith gets caught napping as Bajramaj dives in and scores a takedown. Smith manages to retain guard. Bajramaj will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Smith keeping moving, preventing Bajramaj from controlling successfully. Smith uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Smith throws a jab when Bajramaj was well out of range. Bajramaj throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bajramaj off to one side. Bajramaj fails to land the takedown. Smith fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bajramaj is out of range. Smith tries to clinch there but Bajramaj circles away.
Smith leaves Bajramaj with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Smith throws a low kick, looking for Bajramaj's leg but Bajramaj calmly moves out of range. Smith throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Bajramaj throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it. A head kick misses from Smith.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bajramaj shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Bajramaj keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bajramaj closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Smith quickly recovers to half guard. Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bajramaj is working away from the top position though. Smith is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith is trying to stand back up but Bajramaj is controlling him
Bajramaj lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Smith is trying to control but can't.
Smith has his hands clasped together around Bajramaj's back. He's all about the action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Smith is in trouble now - Bajramaj has advanced to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bajramaj quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bajramaj but it's paid off an Smith is forced to tap! Nice work by Bajramaj.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Deavon. Alves misses with a takedown attempt - Deavon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Evan Deavon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Deavon sizes up Alves with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Deavon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alves. Alves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nice defenses there by Alves. Alves tries for a takedown but Deavon circles away easily and Alves takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Alves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Deavon.
Deavon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alves circles away quickly and effectively. Alves looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Deavon! Alves tries to control but Deavon wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves moves to take his opponent's back.

Alves is trying to stick to Deavon's back but Deavon is turning into Alves. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alves's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Deavon. Deavon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Deavon trying to control but Alves is working from the bottom. Alves is trying to control the position but Deavon postures up. Alves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Deavon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Deavon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alves throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peks trying to control but Hammer is working from the bottom. Peks is looking to take a break and control but Hammer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peks connects with a nice short shot to Hammer's temple. Peks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hammer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Peks postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hammer looks a forlorn figure.
