12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Fernandes! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown throws a nice looking combination but Fernandes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fernandes throws out a leg kick but Brown moves out of range and Fernandes only half commits. Brown checks the leg kick. Brown takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
 It looks like Mark Brown has been cut. Brown misses with a leg kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Fernandes misses with a low kick. Brown uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fernandes. Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Brown on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Brown connects with a looping right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fernandes scores with a nice head shot. Fernandes misses with a body shot.

A punch combination from Fernandes misses. Brown moves away from the strike by Fernandes. Fernandes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Fernandes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brown. Fernandes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brown uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fernandes.

Fernandes avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fernandes punishes Brown's body with a nice straight punch. Brown is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Fernandes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fernandes. Fernandes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Fernandes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brown. That did some damage! Fernandes loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch. Brown throws a hook to the side of Fernandes's head but Fernandes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fernandes scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Fernandes scores with a nice strike.
 Mark Brown's cut is getting worse. Fernandes digs a good body shot into Brown's ribs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fernandes chopping away at his opponent's legs.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polo throws a combination that misses and Polo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Polo gets a double leg takedown into Palowakski's guard. Polo looking to sit in guard and control but Palowakski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Palowakski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Polo keeping moving, preventing Palowakski from controlling successfully. Miles throws a right and a left that both miss.

Maia sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Miles avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Warren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away. Reyes misses with the combination.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zarathustra on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zslevski. Zslevski obviously looking to wear him down.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zarathustra. Zarathustra misses with a body kick. Zslevski ducks right into an uppercut from Zarathustra. Zarathustra on the wrong end of a nice jab.
 It looks like Also Zarathustra has been cut. Zarathustra pivots, looking for a leg kick but Zslevski is out of range and Zarathustra settles back down. Zarathustra moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! No luck for Zslevski with that takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Zslevski or perhaps it was just good defense by Zarathustra which made him look bad. Zarathustra lands a jab to Zslevski's midsection. Zarathustra missing with a left hand there. Zslevski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Zslevski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Zarathustra gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Zslevski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zarathustra keeps working. Zslevski seems to be working for a kimura but Zarathustra defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stotch clinches up against the cage. Stotch wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but King has him pressed against the cage. Stotch blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Stotch wants to get back to striking at distance but King won't allow it.

King creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stotch's defenses.
 It looks like Leopold Stotch has been cut. A nice glancing elbow lands by King. King lands an elbow that stopped Stotch in his tracks for a moment. Stotch goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

 That has opened up Leopold Stotch's cut even more. Stotch is trying to break the clinch but King is controlling him.
Stotch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stotch takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Stotch shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. King scores with a sloppy right hand. Stotch should have avoided that one. This has been an exciting period of action! Stotch fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt King. King has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stotch. King feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stotch's calf.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stotch tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Stotch tried to score with a low kick but King checks it. King throws a leg kick but Stotch sees it coming and moves out of range. Stotch misses with a hook. King ducked under it nicely. Stotch chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before King can pounce on him.
King shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stotch's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. King with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. King scores with a decent looking elbow strike. King pushing down on Stotch's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. King passes to side control. King wants to control but Stotch is keeping him busy. King is really struggling to control Stotch but he's trying to hold on to the position.

King just content to control the position. King lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stotch down.

King misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
King is trying to get an arm triangle but Stotch is defending well. Stotch defending against the ground and pound. Stotch is trying to get back to half guard. Stotch throws a leg kick but King moved away. King attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. King takes a shot right to the bread basket. Stotch throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Stotch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stotch. King does a little dance to reset his feet. King smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. King takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. King waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stotch. Stotch takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses. King misses with a low kick. That kick from Stotch tenderised King's leg. King is trying to keep his angry face on.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stotch throws out a powerful jab. Stotch avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Stotch throws a front kick aimed at King's knee but King avoids it well. King missing with a left hand there. Stotch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Stotch fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. King looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Stotch throws a leg kick and King counters with a leg kick. King tries to land a leg kick but Stotch saw it coming and moves away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Levi King will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Leopold Stotch's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

 The cut above Leopold Stotch's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Stotch avoiding damage as King throws knees to the body.
Levi King has scored more points in the clinch so far. King lands an elbow inside that Stotch shrugs off. King digs a right hand underneath Stotch's ribcage. Stotch let out a lung full of air as it connected. Stotch's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Stotch has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. King creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stotch's defenses.
 Leopold Stotch's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. A nice glancing elbow lands by King.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Leopold Stotch's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
