A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Pierre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nieddds wants to sweep here but St Pierre controlling him for the moment.

St Pierre drops back looking for a leg! Nieddds is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nieddds manages to kick St Pierre off! St Pierre jumps back into Nieddds's guard.
St Pierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
St Pierre passes easily into side control. Nice work.

St Pierre has hold of Nieddds's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Nieddds seems comfortable defending it but St Pierre has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Nieddds is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Nieddds is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but St Pierre couldn't care less - he's delighted!
