The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baldacchino shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dostoevsky counters with a stiff right hand. Dostoevsky with a hook. Baldacchino with a poor takedown and Dostoevsky counters with a two punch combo. Baldacchino with a poor takedown enabling Dostoevsky to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doctor Baldacchino. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baldacchino looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Oh Baldacchino is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Doctor Baldacchino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Baldacchino. A punch combination from Dostoevsky misses. Dostoevsky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baldacchino moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Baldacchino seems to have got his legs back now. Dostoevsky scores with a punch to the head. Baldacchino misses with a left hand and Dostoevsky counters with a big right hand! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bagend fails with the takedown and Khan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bagend's guard now. Bagend being controlled here, momentarily. Khan trying to control but Bagend is working from the bottom. Bagend wants to sweep but no luck. Khan wants to pass the guard but Bagend is keeping the position. Khan wants to control from the top but Bagend keeps moving. Khan passes into half guard. Bagend controlling the position well.

Bagend wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving. Khan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bagend gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Khan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bagend defends well. Khan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bagend controls the pace. Bagend's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Khan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bagend can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spirit has Warner up against the cage in a clinch.
Spirit is working Warner over against the cage. Warner avoiding damage as Spirit throws knees to the body.
Spirit avoids a wild elbow strike from Warner. Spirit tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Warner avoids it. Warner gets through Spirit's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Warner lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Spirit or not. Spirit lands an elbow that stopped Warner in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Wacko Warner has been cut. Spirit has hold of one of Warner's legs. Warner is fighting the takedown attempt but Spirit gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spirit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Spirit has gone for a leg lock! Warner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spirit's guard. Warner looking to sit in guard and control but Spirit gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Spirit throws a strike but Warner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Warner is stalling in the full guard. Spirit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Warner throws a big right hand that misses. Warner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spirit works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Spirit wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Warner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Warner is pushing down on Spirit's leg trying to pass to half guard. Spirit is fighting to maintain full guard but Warner has managed to sneak the leg through. Warner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Spirit slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Warner perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Warner takes a swing at Spirit's ribcage but misses. Spirit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Warner pinned against the cage. Warner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Spirit ducks under a wild hook from Warner. Spirit closes the distance looking to clinch and Warner counters with a stiff right hand.
