The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Statement fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McDonough manages to avoid it. McDonough fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from McDonough. Statement does a little dance to reset his feet. McDonough misses with a wild body shot. McDonough lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
McDonough throws a hook to the side of Statement's head but Statement sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McDonough slips a jab from Statement. Statement needs to keep his hands up - McDonough had a free shot at his head there. McDonough dives in and grabs Statement's left leg, looking for a takedown. Statement pushes down on McDonough's head and hops out. McDonough lands with a nice body punch. McDonough takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Statement avoids the body shot from McDonough.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Iron, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pinto takes one on the button. Iron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pinto as he avoids it easily. Iron misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pinto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pinto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Iron crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pinto - the referee stops the clock and Iron gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pinto. Iron manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Iron will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pedrera shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Pedrera throws a nice looking combination but Pajautus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pajautus slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Pajautus checks the leg kick. Pedrera on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pajautus looks to throw the jab but Pedrera is out of range. Pajautus tries to clinch but Pedrera is having none of it. Pedrera looking to score a takedown here. Pajautus is defending well but Pedrera drives through and ends up in Pajautus's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pedrera wants to control from the top but Pajautus keeps moving. Pedrera won't allow Pajautus to get back to his feet. Pedrera forces his way into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pedrera is trying to control. Pajautus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pajautus is trying to stand up here but Pedrera is controlling him well. Pedrera is working for a kimura but Pajautus is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mia has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mia and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mia circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dostoevsky is looking to wear down Mia with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Dostoevsky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mia misses with a body shot.
Mia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Dostoevsky tries to clinch up but Mia circles away and keeps his distance. Dostoevsky looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mia shoots in but no luck this time. Vlad Dostoevsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franko Mia. Dostoevsky throws a low kick but Mia moves out of range easily. Dostoevsky keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mia. Dostoevsky tries to work over Mia's front leg with a kick but Mia checks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Mia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mia throws a series of punches but Dostoevsky moves out of range. Dostoevsky throws a low kick but Mia avoids it. Dostoevsky misses with a low kick.
Mia throws a jab when Dostoevsky was well out of range. Mia lands a nice shot to the body.
Dostoevsky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mia takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sloppy strikes from Mia. Those never looked like landing. Dostoevsky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mia manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dostoevsky buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Mia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dostoevsky sprawls well. Dostoevsky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mia gets slowly back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dostoevsky misses with a body shot.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vlad Dostoevsky. I think Dostoevsky has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
