1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alex Marchione! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marchione tries to clinch but Vencente moves out of range. Vencente closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marchione circles away. Vencente darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Vencente is looking for a kimura here.
Marchione makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marchione. Marchione is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vencente is aware though and is defending well. Marchione keeping moving, preventing Vencente from controlling successfully. Vencente avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marchione advances nicely into full mount. Vencente is breathing heavily. Sapp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sapp showed some decent athleticism there. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wyatt turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Verdun shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wyatt but Wyatt pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wyatt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Verdun takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Verdun looks gassed! Wyatt fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Wyatt lands a front kick. Verdun chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wyatt can pounce on him.
This has been an exciting period of action! Wyatt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Verdun. That did some damage! A slapping leg kick lands for Wyatt.
Jarrod Wyatt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wyatt feints and then cracks Verdun's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Verdun down. Wyatt scores with a nice strike. Verdun has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wyatt. Wyatt digs a good body shot into Verdun's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wyatt closes the distance and lands a one-two. Wyatt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wyatt scores with a spinning back kick! Wyatt's jab looks to have found its range, popping Verdun under the eye. Wyatt scores with a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Verdun drops his hands momentarily. Wyatt doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Verdun staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Verdun doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Luffy feints and as Kimuraba raises his hands in defense, Luffy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Luffy stops Kimuraba from standing up. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce McBrain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Peippo! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peippo misses the jab. McBrain throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Peippo. Peippo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Peippo throws a body kick the misses and McBrain counters with a lovely straight right hand! Peippo misses with a body shot.
Peippo throws a looping overhand right but McBrain ducks down to avoid it. McBrain avoids a lazy jab quite easily. McBrain scores with a jab to the head.
A swing and a miss from Peippo. McBrain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Peippo is out of range and McBrain settles back down. Peippo misses the shot to the body. McBrain misses the body punch and Peippo counters with a straight right hand. Peippo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McBrain manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Peippo looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McBrain pulls Peippo in close to prevent any damage. Peippo trying to control but McBrain is working from the bottom. Peippo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McBrain works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peippo trying to control the position from guard on top but McBrain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McBrain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The crowd cheers as McBrain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Peippo doesn't seem phased though. McBrain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Peippo. McBrain leaves Peippo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McBrain throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peippo sees it coming and avoids it easily. McBrain swings away with a leg kick that misses. Peippo misses with a double jab.
McBrain fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. McBrain thuds a left hand into Peippo's body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jab, jab by McBrain - just one landing. McBrain looks to land a combination but Peippo avoids it well. McBrain scores with a nice head shot. McBrain lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. McBrain keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Peippo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peippo throws a series of punches but McBrain avoids them all with ease. McBrain tries to bum rush Peippo with a series of wild strikes but Peippo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Peippo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. McBrain blocks a head kick by Peippo.
Nice body punch from McBrain. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McBrain checks a leg kick. Peippo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McBrain closes the distance and lands a one-two. McBrain pushing out the jab but it's not landing. McBrain throws a good cross that connects.
McBrain avoids a kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Peippo. McBrain does a little dance to reset his feet. McBrain swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Peippo thows a body shot but no joy. Nice jab there from Peippo. A jab lands there for McBrain. Peippo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

letting McBrain counter with a right hand. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McBrain takes a swing at Peippo's ribcage but misses. McBrain is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. McBrain throws a nice inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce McBrain dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Peippo is still on wobbly legs! Can McBrain finish him? This has been an exciting period of action! McBrain flashes Peippo a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Peippo's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Peippo crumples to the floor! He's out cold! McBrain punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
