Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Junior Oliphant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Self! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliphant tries to land a front kick but Self steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Self has managed to clinch.
Oliphant pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sloppy strikes from Oliphant. Those never looked like landing. Oliphant misses with a low kick. Oliphant closes this distance looking for a takedown but Self circles away. Oliphant lands a nice looking kick to the body. Self takes a step back to recover.
Oliphant gets in close and instigates a clinch. Self tries to break free but Oliphant pushes him back against the cage. Oliphant keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Self's efforts to push away. Self working hard to break the clinch.

Oliphant works over Self's head and body with a nice combination.

Oliphant tries to clinch up but Self circles away and keeps his distance. Oliphant throws a series of strikes that have Self backpedaling.

Oliphant's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Self tries for a takedown but Oliphant circles away easily and Oliphant counters with a stiff right hand. Oliphant throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Self takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Oliphant decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Oliphant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Self on the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Oliphant connects with a nice short shot to Self's temple.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Self regains full guard. Nicely done.
Self has his feet on Oliphant's thighs here. He's pushed Oliphant off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Oliphant screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reaper turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Reaper throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Savage. Savage misses with a double jab
and Reaper counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Savage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Reaper wants to pass the guard but Savage is keeping the position. Savage pulls Reaper in to control the position. Reaper pushing down on Savage's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Reaper is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Savage has one foot on Reaper's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stojkowski can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

I think Sheehan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Best Day Ever. Ang has chosen Long Way To The Top as his entrance music. Rodney Ang told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justus Sheehan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodney Ang! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ang lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sheehan's sensitive parts. Ang dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sheehan. That did some damage! Sheehan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ang as he avoids it easily. Ang throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sheehan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ang moves away. Sheehan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ang tries to avoid it but Sheehan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ang to the ground. Ang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ang ducks under a wild hook from Sheehan. Nice shot lands for Ang. Sheehan with a lazy takedown attempt and Ang counters with an inside leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justus Sheehan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sheehan is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sheehan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ang avoids it really well and circles away. Ang avoids the body shot from Sheehan.

Ang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sheehan to the mat! Sheehan manages to get full guard. Ang wants to control from the top but Sheehan keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sheehan keeping moving, preventing Ang from controlling successfully.
Sheehan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ang is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sheehan. Ang advances to mount.

Ang is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sheehan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
