The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithy misses with a low kick.
Smithy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sparks scores with a shot to the body.
Smithy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Jonathan Sparks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sparks lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Sparks creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Smithy with a big uppercut! Smithy tries to clinch up but Sparks pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Smithy to the mat! Smithy covers up and Sparks unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
