Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedo Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Krokodil Zelenij! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear misses with a takedown attempt - Zelenij sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Zelenij doesn't manage to clinch there - Bear circles away.
Bear doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Zelenij to counter with a crisp jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Zelenij. Bear does a little dance to reset his feet. Zelenij throws a right hand that Bear ducks under and follows up with a left that Bear also avoids with ease. Zelenij doesn't manage to clinch there - Bear circles away.
Zelenij rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bear moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bear shoots in looking for a takedown. Zelenij tries to sprawl out of it but Bear keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zelenij manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedo Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zelenij throws out a loose jab but Bear uses good head movement to avoid it. Krokodil Zelenij seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear doesn't succeed with the takedown and Zelenij counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bear is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bear looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zelenij is one step ahead there. Zelenij is keen to just control but Bear is a slippery customer. Bear is looking to improve his position.
Zelenij tries to pass to full mount but Bear defends it. Bear is looking to control Zelenij's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bear avoid being mounted? Bear is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Zelenij is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bear has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear is not content to let Zelenij control the position. Zelenij decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Bear shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zelenij counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bear is breathing heavily. Zelenij stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zelenij wants it to stay on the feet. Bear avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zelenij clobbers Bear with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bear. Zelenij closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bear quickly recovers to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bear is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Zelenij jumps into side control! Zelenij is working to tighten is grip on Bear's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bear has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Zelenij is really squeezing tight and eventually Bear passes out! Zelenij breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

He's got hold of a leg but Riverington swivels and escapes. Russell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That will dishearten Russell somewhat. Russell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riverington as he avoids it easily. Russell takes a kick to the side of the head. Hunter leaves Stram with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hunter lands a jab-cross combination. Stram with a lazy takedown attempt and Hunter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Eli Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taylor Stram. Stram with a poor takedown and Hunter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That was a close round but I would say that Duilio Tagliabue will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Redfield. Redfield dives in and grabs Simmons's left leg, looking for a takedown. Simmons pushes down on Redfield's head and hops out. Simmons doesn't succeed with the takedown and Redfield makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Simmons really felt that one! Simmons is breathing heavily. Redfield closes this distance looking for a takedown but Simmons circles away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Redfield. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Simmons pushes Redfield away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Redfield gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Redfield wants to control but Simmons is keeping him busy. Simmons parries the strikes from Redfield easily there. Redfield is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Simmons to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Redfield stalls from top position. Redfield is looking to take a break and control but Simmons is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chris Redfield wasn't active enough on the ground. Redfield swinging wildly here.
A solid body kick from Redfield. Redfield slips under a jab from Simmons. Redfield dives in and grabs Simmons's left leg, looking for a takedown. Simmons pushes down on Redfield's head and hops out. and Redfield counters with a left and a right that stings Simmons. Prince Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Simmons lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Redfield circles away quickly and effectively. Simmons tries to keep at a distance but Redfield has taken the fight into the clinch. Redfield gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Simmons.

and Redfield counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Redfield throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Redfield is defended easily by Simmons. Simmons throws a sloppy head kick and Redfield counters with a body kick. Redfield shoots in looking for a takedown. Simmons tries to sprawl out of it but Redfield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Simmons manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Redfield lands a head kick!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Redfield shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simmons is trying hard to land a takedown here. Redfield sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Simmons is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Redfield. Redfield changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simmons tries to avoid it but Redfield manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simmons to the ground. Simmons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Redfield gets a double leg takedown into Simmons's guard. Redfield drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Redfield jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Simmons wants to stand but Redfield is controlling the position. Redfield decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Simmons, up you get! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Redfield stands up and beckons Simmons to his feet. Redfield scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Redfield controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chris Redfield. Redfield closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Simmons's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Redfield content to stall in guard here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Redfield accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Redfield throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Simmons keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Redfield dives in and scores a takedown into Simmons's guard. Redfield thows a big elbow that misses. Redfield not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simmons throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Redfield counters with a nice double leg into guard. Redfield in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Simmons wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Redfield is now in half guard. Redfield prevents Simmons from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Waldo Whip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carlton misses the shot to the body. Carlton dodges the punch combination from Whip.
Whip throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Whip is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Whip connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Carlton's hands. Whip pushes Carlton up against the cage in a clinch. Whip is looking to break free of the clinch but Carlton has double underhooks. Whip effectively controlling the action here.
