The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ferreira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hammer is chipping away with strikes.
Ferreira is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hammer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Ferreira is looking to control Hammer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ferreira avoid being mounted? Ferreira tries to roll over but Hammer keeps him under control. Ferreira manages to escape and get back to his feet! Hammer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ferreira is looking to control Hammer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ferreira avoid being mounted? Ferreira avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hammer. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kadesadayurat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Finalizador.
Kadesadayurat lands with a kick to the temple. Finalizador shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Finalizador closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Finalizador lands in his opponent's guard. Kadesadayurat wants to stand but Finalizador is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kadesadayurat can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Finalizador controls the pace. Finalizador tries to free his leg and advance position but Kadesadayurat is retaining full guard. Finalizador drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Finalizador jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Finalizador controls from within his opponent's guard. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kadesadayurat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Finalizador crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kadesadayurat - the referee stops the clock and Finalizador gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kadesadayurat. Finalizador manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Finalizador wants to slow Kadesadayurat down by chopping away at his legs. Kadesadayurat lands with a shot to the body. Finalizador shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Muresan manages to avoid it. Muresan slips under a jab from Souza. Souza throws a right hand that Muresan ducks under and follows up with a left that Muresan also avoids with ease. Souza scores with a nice strike.

Souza looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A good leg kick by Muresan. Muresan connects with a solid leg kick. Muresan steps into range and cracks Souza with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Souza flops backwards and Muresan dives into his guard looking to finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cambarros darts in and clinches Whitey up against the cage. Whitey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cambarros is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Whitey wants to get back to striking at distance but Cambarros won't allow it.
Whitey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cambarros smiles and moves away.
Whitey tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cambarros counters with a stiff right hand. Cambarros lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Cambarros clinches with his opponent.
Cambarros is trying to break free. Cambarros gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whitey preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cambarros postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Cambarros looking to pass the guard. Cambarros with a nice head shot there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maia looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Filho looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Maia slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Filho keeping full guard, as Maia tries to pass. Maia controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Filho can't keep his opponent in guard - Maia advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Maia not doing much here.
I looks like Maia might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Maia works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Filho keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Maia trying to control but he's not successful this time. Maia fails to move to back control. Filho has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Maia looking for the RNC. A bit of a pause in the action here. Maia controlling the positon. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Maia throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Maia is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Maia is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Filho has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Max Gracie tries to bum rush Renzo Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Renzo Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Max Gracie throws a low kick but it's checked well by Renzo Gracie. Max Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Max Gracie throws a chopping leg kick but Renzo Gracie manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Max Gracie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Renzo Gracie. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Max Gracie misses with an uppercut. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Symbol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Logan tries to avoid it but Symbol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Logan to the ground. Logan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Symbol shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Logan as he jumps to the side. Logan moves out of range of the strikes. Symbol shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Symbol throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Logan tries to roll over but Symbol keeps him under control. Symbol is trying to control the action in half guard but Logan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Logan tries to get to full guard but Symbol has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Symbol working over Logan with some ground and pound. Logan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Logan is looking for a sweep. Symbol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Logan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Logan is trying to maintain the position but Symbol is very close to passing his half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Logan tries to bum rush Symbol with a series of wild strikes but Symbol uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Symbol fails with a takedown attempt. James Logan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Prince Symbol. Logan misses with a looping right. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Symbol. A slow jab from Logan misses its intended target. Horrible takedown by Symbol or perhaps it was just good defense by Logan which made him look bad. Symbol shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Logan wants to sweep here but Symbol controlling him for the moment. Logan is trying to control the position but Symbol postures up. A wild punch that just about connected. Logan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Symbol shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
