Gunther drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gunther jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Volkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunther. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Horrible takedown by Lurpo or perhaps it was just good defense by Rollin which made him look bad.
Rollin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lurpo's waist but Lurpo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rollin off to one side.
Lurpo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rollin moves away.
Lurpo dives in and grabs Rollin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rollin pushes down on Lurpo's head and hops out.

Rollin closes the distance and clinches.

Rollin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
You can see the frustration on Lurpo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
