The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silcic tried to score with a low kick but Hard checks it. Silcic throws a looping overhand right but Hard ducks down to avoid it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silcic is defended easily by Hard. Silcic dodges the punch combination from Hard.
Hard slips a jab and a cross from Silcic.
Hard connects with an inside leg kick. Silcic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Silcic shoots for a takedown but Hard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taye Silcic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silcic is breathing heavily. Silcic tries to clinch but Hard is having none of it. Hard instigates a clinch. Hard stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Hard throwing strikes but missing. Hard wants to control from the top but Silcic keeps moving. Hard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silcic kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hard postures up and lands a big shot to Silcic's brow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silcic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Silcic keeping full guard, as Hard tries to pass. Hard works over Silcic with some ground and pound from guard. Silcic trying to keep a closed guard but Hard is proving a slippery customer.
Silcic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hard has picked Silcic up and slammed him! Silcic can't keep hold of the triangle and Hard manages to pass to side control! Hard trying to control the position but Silcic is working away.

Not really close to a finish though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hard content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Hard engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Silcic avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Silcic throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hard uses it to pass to side control.

Silcic takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Silcic parries the strikes from Hard easily there. Hard is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Silcic to escape.
Silcic is trying to control Hard's posture but Hard avoids it. Hard staying calm. Hard stands up. This has been an exciting period of action! Silcic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hard is fending him off so far but Silcic persists. Nope, Hard circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hard lands an elbow that stopped Silcic in his tracks for a moment. Silcic is trying to maintain a safe position but Hard gets an underhook and turns Silcic into the cage. Hard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Oooooh!!! Hard has knocked Silcic down with a huge combo! Hard steps away and waves a wobbly Silcic back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Zeynalabdinov tries to bench press Pancada off him but Pancada keeps the position. Pancada decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zeynalabdinov to his feet. Pancada shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Zeynalabdinov eats them both and turns towards Pancada to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Zeynalabdinov fails with an attempt to clinch.
