The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Napayshni scores with a hook. Napayshni scores with a decent looking hook. Napayshni lands a jab to the nose. Lance Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Napayshni scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rock in his tracks. Napayshni throws a nice outside leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rock is defended easily by Napayshni. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Napayshni!
Rock fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rock tries to score a power double leg takedown but Napayshni sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rock somewhat. Mingan Napayshni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lance Rock. Napayshni circles away from the clinch attempt and Napayshni counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rock takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rock swings widly with a right hand
and Napayshni counters with a body kick that stops Rock in his tracks momentarily. Rock looks gassed! Napayshni thuds a left hand into Rock's body. Napayshni keeps Rock at a distance using the push kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Napayshni moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rock doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Napayshni lands a front kick. Napayshni scores with a nice strike. This has been an exciting period of action! Rock takes a shot right to the bread basket. Napayshni lands a nice looking kick to the body. Rock takes a step back to recover. Rock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rock is trying desperately to land a takedown but Napayshni is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rock. Nice shot lands for Napayshni. Napayshni scores with a jab to the head.
Rock is rocked! Jab from Napayshni. Rock is still on wobbly legs! Can Napayshni finish him? Rock gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Rock tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Napayshni is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Rock buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Rock!! Rock is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Napayshni throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toshi shoots for a double leg takedown but Aspenia sprawls well. He's pushed Toshi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Aspenia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aspenia scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Aspenia gets in close and instigates a clinch. Aspenia breaks from the clinch.
Aspenia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Toshi. Toshi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Aspenia ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Aspenia misses with a series of wild punches.
Aspenia catches Toshi with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Toshi forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

It looks like Taavi Liisteri has been cut. Liisteri tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Holmberg swivels and escapes. A head kick misses from Holmberg. Liisteri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holmberg is fending him off so far but Liisteri persists. Nope, Holmberg circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown by Liisteri or perhaps it was just good defense by Holmberg which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taavi Liisteri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holmberg pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Liisteri closes this distance looking for a takedown but Holmberg circles away. A head kick misses from Holmberg. Holmberg misses with a two punch combination.
Lenart Holmberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holmberg throws a push kick but Liisteri slaps the foot to one side. Liisteri sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Liisteri uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Holmberg.

and Liisteri counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Liisteri. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Liisteri in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Liisteri postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Holmberg is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Liisteri, into his guard. Liisteri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liisteri working for a triangle but Holmberg defends it easily.
Liisteri is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Holmberg is aware though and is defending well. Liisteri has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Holmberg doesn't defend quickly enough and Liisteri has managed to lock this one up! Can Holmberg escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Liisteri on a fantastic submission victory.

Enforcer avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Blocksson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Enforcer throws out the jab. Enforcer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Blocksson looks to land a left hand but Enforcer moved out of range nicely. Enforcer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blocksson was well out of range. Poor timing from Enforcer. Enforcer lands with a nice body punch. Blocksson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Enforcer throws out the jab. Enforcer throws an overhand right that lands on Blocksson's shoulder, as Blocksson tries to avoid the shot. Enforcer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blocksson manages to avoid it. Blocksson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Enforcer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blocksson. Blocksson blocks a jab. Enforcer punishes Blocksson's body with a nice straight punch. Enforcer on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Blocksson. Blocksson obviously looking to wear him down.

Blocksson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Enforcer throws out the jab. Enforcer misses with a hook. Blocksson ducked under it nicely. Blocksson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Enforcer.
Blocksson takes a swing at Enforcer's ribcage but misses. Enforcer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Enforcer, as that shot connected.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crippler throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Crippler connects with a single shot there. Crippler works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Crippler. Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Crippler is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Johnson wants to control but Crippler is keeping him busy. Crippler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson wants to pass to mount but Crippler is defending the position. Johnson throwing shots but Crippler is blocking nicely.

Johnson is rocked! Crippler cracks Johnson with a left hook right on the temple and Johnson goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Crippler lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Johnson is OK!
