The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gongora lands an overhand right.
Crunch! Gongora slams his shin into Ahmed's torso.
Ahmed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ahmed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sloppy strikes from Gongora. Those never looked like landing.
Ahmed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gongora slaps away a takedown attempt from Ahmed, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Ahmed closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gongora quickly recovers to half guard.
Ahmed takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gongora wants to control but Ahmed is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ahmed in particular looking to stall.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ahmed seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gongora for as long as he can get away with.

Naruto is trying to control. Sukeyuki wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Naruto passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sukeyuki !

Sukeyuki has left one of his arms exposed and Naruto doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sukeyuki screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Bernard Toney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toney misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Toney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wong sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Wong creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Toney sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wong tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Wong in side control, throwing shots but Toney defends.

Wong is working to tighten is grip on Toney's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Toney has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wong is really squeezing tight and eventually Toney passes out! Wong breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
