The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castello shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Castello is keen to just control but Diaz is a slippery customer. Castello stands up from half guard. Diaz misses with a series of wild punches.

Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz drives through with a takedown into Castello's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Castello is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Castello manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Castello on the ground. Castello thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Castello can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diaz is looking to escape. Diaz is wriggling around trying to escape.

Castello working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Diaz is doing well to defend. Castello seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Diaz is forced to tap and this one is over!
