The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman Ii misses with a combination
and Earle counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Coleman Ii thinking. Earle connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Mark Coleman Ii has been cut. Coleman Ii just misses with a punch to the body.
Earle wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Coleman Ii swats away the attempt to clinch by Earle. Earle misses with a wild combination.
Coleman Ii looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Coleman Ii thows a huge punch but Earle dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman Ii wants to lay and pray for a moment but Earle keeps working. Coleman Ii not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Coleman Ii slips a nice elbow through Earle's hands, connecting with Earle's forehead. Earle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coleman Ii on the ground. Coleman Ii takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Earle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coleman Ii. Earle looks like he's trying to stand up.
Coleman Ii lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Coleman Ii takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Coleman Ii is keen to just control but Earle is a slippery customer. Coleman Ii thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Earle's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coleman Ii content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman Ii working the head and body with strikes. Coleman Ii missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Coleman Ii is trying to control. Earle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Coleman Ii throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Coleman Ii winds up and cracks Earle with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Coleman Ii passes to full mount! Earle is bucking up trying to escape but Coleman Ii cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Coleman Ii cracks Earle with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
It looks like James Earle has been cut. Coleman Ii pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Coleman Ii lands a big elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Earle is bucking up trying to escape but Coleman Ii cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palioc takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Smierdzielowski jabs at Palioc's body. Palioc takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smierdzielowski scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Daniel Palioc has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Palioc takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Palioc looks gassed! Smierdzielowski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Palioc's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Smierdzielowski lands a couple of elbows. Smierdzielowski landing some decent shots from guard. Smierdzielowski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Palioc works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smierdzielowski trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Smierdzielowski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Smierdzielowski is in close to Palioc's body, working some short punches and elbows. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Palioc wants to control but Smierdzielowski is keeping busy.

Smierdzielowski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Palioc eats them both and turns towards Smierdzielowski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Danga de danga de dang - Smierdzielowski scores with a four punch combination! Smierdzielowski throws a right hand that Palioc ducks under and follows up with a left that Palioc also avoids with ease. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Smierdzielowski!
Smierdzielowski blocks a leg kick. Palioc tries to close the distance and clinch but Smierdzielowski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Palioc on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Pawel Smierdzielowski is winning the standup battle so far. Smierdzielowski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Palioc avoids it really well and circles away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smierdzielowski pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Palioc back to the cage. Smierdzielowski follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Palioc is rocked!
That has opened up Daniel Palioc's cut even more. Palioc tries for a takedown but Smierdzielowski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Palioc is still on wobbly legs! Can Smierdzielowski finish him? Palioc walks straight into a right hand from Smierdzielowski - that's dropped him! Smierdzielowski jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Palioc from any more punishment! Palioc complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Doyle controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Doyle slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Conley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doyle on the ground. Doyle is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Conley looks calm but he's in trouble here. Doyle gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Conley is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Doyle lets go of the hold and Conley can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Nakai throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yamaru blocking the ground and pound. Nakai looking to control and managing it successfully. Nakai is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Yamaru has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Yamaru is pushing down on Nakai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nakai is fighting to maintain full guard but Yamaru has managed to sneak the leg through. Nakai holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Nakai is pressing down on Yamaru's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Yamaru postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamaru stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakai swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nakai pulls Yamaru in close to his closed guard and prevents Yamaru from doing any damage or advancing position. Yamaru trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yamaru won't allow Nakai to sweep him here. Yamaru tries to free his leg and advance position but Nakai is retaining full guard. Nakai has Yamaru pulled in close to control his posture. Nakai keeping moving, preventing Yamaru from controlling successfully.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nakai throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yamaru was covering up waiting for the punch and Nakai finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakai trying to control but Yamaru is working from the bottom. Yamaru preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Yamaru wants to sweep but no luck. Nakai slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Yamaru has his foot on Nakai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nakai works his way back into a safe position though. Yuki Nakai has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakai slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Nakai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nakai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Nakai just content to control the position. Nakai is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Yamaru looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nakai gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Yamaru is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nakai lets go of the hold and Yamaru can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Napper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Severs as he jumps to the side. Napper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Severs as he jumps to the side. A combination from Severs does no damage. Napper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Joe Severs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Napper. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Severs, as that shot connected.
Severs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Severs scores with a jab. Napper acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Severs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Napper. Severs takes a swing at Napper's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Napper shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Severs but Severs pushes him off and we're back to square one. Severs stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Severs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Severs digs a good body shot into Napper's ribs. Donk. Severs catches Napper right on the button with a cross. Severs lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Napper backs up against the cage.
Napper has a takedown stuffed. Severs thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Severs misses with a few strikes there.
Severs throws a jab but it's blocked by Napper. Severs scores with a jab to the body. Severs throws a hook to the side of Napper's head but Napper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Napper fails to land the takedown. Napper shoots for a takedown but Severs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A jab from Severs does it's job there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Napper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Severs circles away. Severs lands a nice looking body shot.
Severs misses with a hook. Napper ducked under it nicely. Napper on the wrong end of a nice jab. Napper shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Severs sprawls well. Severs wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Napper gets slowly back to his feet. Napper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Napper wants to control from the top but Severs keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Napper is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Napper controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Danny Napper hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Napper fails with a takedown attempt from distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jayson Rodriguez! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Griffin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rodriguez avoids it really well and circles away. Griffin fails with a takedown attempt. Griffin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Griffin there as he acknowledges the shot. Griffin tries for a takedown but Rodriguez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Griffin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rodriguez stuffs the takedown. Griffin has his takedown stuffed and Rodriguez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Griffin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rodriguez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Griffin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rodriguez counters with a one-two to the body. Griffin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rodriguez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Griffin has his takedown stuffed and Rodriguez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin tries to clinch up and Rodriguez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Griffin thinking. Griffin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rodriguez counters with a series of strikes. Griffin will be more careful next time no doubt. Griffin ducks right into an uppercut from Rodriguez. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Griffin tries for a takedown but Rodriguez circles away easily and Rodriguez counters with a straight right hand.
Griffin is rocked! Rodriguez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Griffin is breathing heavily. Griffin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodriguez tries to avoid it but Griffin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodriguez to the ground. Rodriguez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rodriguez sizes up Griffin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Oh Griffin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rodriguez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rodriguez works Griffin's body with a nice hook. Rodriguez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Griffin doesn't seem bothered though. Griffin tries to clinch but Rodriguez moves away and Rodriguez counters with a left and a right that stings Griffin. Rodriguez drops Griffin with a naaaaasty hook - Griffin is in real trouble here! Rodriguez dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
