I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Chrome tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ravenal paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Good leg kick by Ravenal there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ravenal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chrome looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ravenal is one step ahead there.
Ravenal lands a couple of digs.
Ravenal scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ravenal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ravenal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ravenal has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chrome to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ravenal is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chrome pulls down on the head and he's put Ravenal to sleep! This one is all over!

Gracie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Desperado by Los Lobos. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pete sprawls well. Pete wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Pete keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Pete turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Pete throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Pete takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Pete throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.
Pete connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Willy Pete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pete pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pete keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Pete counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pete manages to avoid it.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Pete sprawls well.

Pete throws a nice outside leg kick.
Pete feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gracies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pete scores with a decent looking hook.
Pete moves out of range as Gracie throws a body kick.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie throws a jab when Pete was well out of range.
Gracie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pete.
Gracie takes one to the chin there.
Pete slips a straight right by Gracie.
Pete lands with an overhand left.

Pete missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Pete drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.

Pete presses Gracie against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Gracie shoots for a takedown but Pete saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Pete checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Pete lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pete.
Gracie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pete counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Gracie! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Pete!
