I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Michael Bisping was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbarossa listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Barbarossa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Barbarossa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bisping. Bisping circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Barbarossa dodges the punch combination from Bisping.
Bisping swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Barbarossa lands with a right hand. Jab by Barbarossa. Barbarossa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bisping looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Barbarossa jabs Bisping right on the nose. Bisping blinks but takes it well. Bisping moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Barbarossa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barbarossa thuds a left hand into Bisping's body. Barbarossa lands a jab to Bisping's midsection. Barbarossa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Barbarossa slips a jab and a cross from Bisping.
Barbarossa scores with a hook to the body. Bisping takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. No joy there for Bisping, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bisping crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Barbarossa with a spectacular finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. George Iv quickly recovers to half guard. Hammer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hammer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but George Iv does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hammer drops an elbow to the side of George Iv's head. Hammer is working for a kimura but George Iv is defending it quite comfortably.

Yes, George Iv is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hammer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCann moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. McCann misses with a takedown attempt and Chivers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Chivers trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but McCann manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Chivers not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chivers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McCann is controlling him. Chivers looking to hit a scissor sweep but McCann is one step ahead there. McCann has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McCann to score with a decent uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McCann drives through with a takedown into guard. McCann decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chivers, up you get! McCann connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. McCann rushes Chivers and presses him up against the cage. McCann controlling the action here for a moment.

Chivers has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chivers there as he acknowledges the shot. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McCann is defended easily by Chivers. A swing and a miss from McCann. McCann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marlin McCann overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McCann gets to his feet - Chivers follows without any prompting. Chivers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Stevie Chivers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chivers walks into a jab. Chivers misses with a takedown attempt and McCann counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chivers misses with a takedown attempt and McCann counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Chivers!
Chivers is rocked! McCann perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Chivers is looking for a sweep. McCann is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marlin McCann. McCann with a jab. McCann is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chivers can do to turn this around? A jab from McCann finds it's way through Chivers's defenses. McCann paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ace Popo! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bohnam darts in and clinches Popo up against the cage. Popo blocks an elbow strike. Bohnam prevents the takedown attempt.
Bohnam lands an elbow inside. Bohnam lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Popo goes for a takedown attempt but Bohnam pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bohnam moves in looking to clinch but Popo pushes him off. Bohnam wants to clinch and Popo counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Popo. Popo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bohnam fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jon Bohnam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ace Popo. Bohnam fails in his attempt to clinch. Bohnam wants to clinch and Popo moves into the clinch.

Bohnam tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Popo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bohnam moves to clinch but Popo breaks away and Popo counters with a left to the body. Some wild striking there from Popo.
Bohnam closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Bohnam. Popo has Bohnam pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bohnam manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Popo has hold of one of Bohnam's legs. Bohnam is fighting the takedown attempt but Popo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Popo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bohnam manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Popo has Bohnam in his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bohnam wants to stand but Popo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Popo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bohnam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bohnam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Popo keeping full guard, as Bohnam tries to pass. Bohnam avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bohnam has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Popo has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bohnam has passed into side control.
Popo is looking to reverse the position. Popo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Bohnam prevents Popo from improving his position. Bohnam is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Popo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bohnam pulls his head out easily. Popo works his way to full guard. Good work. Bohnam looking to pass the guard. Popo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bohnam should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Popo has tightened it up now! Bohnam should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Esperanza seems to have got his legs back now. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Esperanza is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. A right hook to the body lands for Edward.
