The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanford shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bravo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Stanford with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Bravo wants to control but Stanford is having none of it. Stanford looking for a guillotine from mount but Bravo is having none of it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stanford working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Bravo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stanford working for a guillotine from mount but Bravo is in no mood to give up. Stanford jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bravo manages to avoid the submission attempt. Stanford is trying to get an arm triangle but Bravo is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanford tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stanford has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Stanford has hold of Bravo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bravo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stanford cranks the arm and Bravo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bravo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Rio moves into the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Del Rio creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Del Rio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Evonik has his takedown stuffed and Del Rio counters by clinching up. Evonik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Del Rio is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Del Rio tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Del Rio misses with an elbow over the top. Del Rio throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Evonik is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Evonik decides to pull guard. Evonik looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This has been an exciting period of action! Del Rio would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Del Rio gets to his feet. Evonik looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Evonik. Evonik lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Evonik scores with a couple of short elbows. Evonik has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Evonik in side control, throwing shots but Del Rio defends. Del Rio defending against the ground and pound. Evonik working the body and head with strikes. Evonik moves into full mount! Evonik throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Del Rio is desperately trying to improve his position but Evonik has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Evonik throwing strikes here but Del Rio is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Del Rio gets back to half guard. Evonik throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Del Rio is not content to let Evonik control the position. Evonik throwing shots but Del Rio is blocking nicely. Del Rio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Evonik on the ground. Evonik missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Evonik missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Evonik connects with a nice short shot to Del Rio's temple. Evonik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Del Rio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Evonik prevents Del Rio from improving his position. Del Rio is refusing to be controlled, as Evonik sits in half guard. Del Rio on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Del Rio tries to get out of the position. Evonik throwing shots but Del Rio is blocking nicely. Evonik stops Del Rio from getting back to his feet.
Del Rio blocking the ground and pound attempt from Evonik. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evonik wants to take a breather but Del Rio is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Del Rio is trying to stand back up but Evonik is controlling him
Del Rio trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Evonik not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Del Rio blocking the ground and pound attempt from Evonik. Evonik landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Evonik not landing any meaningful shots this time. Evonik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Del Rio is just riding it out for now. Evonik eventually gives up the hold. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evonik seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ervic Evonik dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Evonik misses with a takedown and Del Rio counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Evonik goes for a takedown in the clinch but Del Rio prevents it.
Evonik drops down looking for an ankle pick but Del Rio pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alberto Del Rio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ervic Evonik. Del Rio throws a head kick that misses. Del Rio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Del Rio decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Evonik, up you get! Del Rio looks to land a left hand but Evonik moved out of range nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Del Rio avoids the strikes from the bottom by Evonik. Del Rio decides to stand back up. Del Rio steps back and let's Evonik get back to his feet. Alberto Del Rio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick by Del Rio misses and Evonik counters with a straight right hand. Del Rio moves in looking to clinch but Evonik pushes him off. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Del Rio throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Evonik tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Del Rio is in Evonik's guard. Del Rio would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Evonik has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Del Rio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evonik is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Evonik is working an open guard so Del Rio takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Evonik shoots for a takedown but Del Rio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Del Rio looks like he's thinking about clinching though. No luck for Evonik with that takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Del Rio misses the shot to the body. Evonik doesn't succeed with the takedown so Del Rio counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Del Rio trying to control the position from guard on top but Evonik is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Del Rio tries to free his leg and advance position but Evonik is retaining full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evonik working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Del Rio. Evonik has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Del Rio doesn't defend quickly enough and Evonik has managed to lock this one up! Can Del Rio escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Evonik on a fantastic submission victory.

Flintoff thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mous to his feet! Mous is in big trouble! Flintoff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mous throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flintoff's waist but Flintoff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mous off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anony Mous. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mous fails with a takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mous drives through with a takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Mous chips away with some ground and pound. Mous with a flurry of punches that miss. Mous postures up in Flintoff's guard and throws a big left but Flintoff blocks it. Mous throwing strikes from guard but Flintoff blocks nicely. Mous throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mous throwing strikes but missing. Mous throws a strike but Flintoff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Flintoff wants to stand but Mous has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mous will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mous wants to stand up but Flintoff is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mous is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mous looking to hit a scissor sweep but Flintoff is one step ahead there. Flintoff trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mous's guard. Flintoff stands up from Mous's guard - Flintoff perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mous takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Mous avoids the head kick by Flintoff.
Flintoff looks gassed! Mous shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Flintoff as he jumps to the side. Mous closes the distance and clinches up with Flintoff, looking for a takedown. Mous pushes Flintoff against the cage but Flintoff circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mous shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mous postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mous throws a strike but Flintoff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Flintoff wants to get up but he can't break Mous's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mous is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Flintoff stopping the sweep attempt from Mous. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mous is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mous is working Flintoff over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Escobar wants it to stay on the feet. Escobar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pain with a lazy takedown attempt and Escobar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Pain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Escobar's waist but Escobar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pain off to one side. Pain falls back against the cage and Escobar unloads with a barrage of strikes! Pain is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Escobar screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Calhoun tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jones is able to avoid easily. Calhoun scores with a nice body kick.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Calhoun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat. Calhoun avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Calhoun is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Calhoun is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Calhoun wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Calhoun gets back to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stasi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bruce feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stasi's calf. Kimmo Stasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stasi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bruce swivels and escapes. Stasi throws a leg kick which misses Bruce's front leg but catches the back leg as Bruce tries to avoid it. Oxer is rocked! Snake sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Oxer's defenses. It connects perfectly with Oxer's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
