The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Placek has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dalton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Placek momentarily.

Placek looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dalton!
Placek looking to ground and pound but Dalton is blocking nicely.
Dalton wants to control but Placek is having none of it.

Placek stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Placek closes the distance and clinches up with Dalton, looking for a takedown. Placek pushes Dalton against the cage but Dalton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Donk. Dalton catches Placek right on the button with a cross.
Dalton throws a good cross that connects.
Dalton tests Placek's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dalton connects with a looping right hand.
Dalton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Placek tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dalton swivels and escapes.
Placek takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Placek has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Dalton throws a chopping leg kick but Placek manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Dalton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Placek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dalton has managed to get both his arms back between Placek's legs - danger averted.
Placek is trying to control the position but Dalton postures up.

Dalton chips away with some ground and pound.

Dalton wants to control from the top but Placek keeps moving.
Dalton stands and throws Placek's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Dalton is looking to take a break and control but Placek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Placek is trying to improve his position.

Placek shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dalton but Dalton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dalton shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Placek eats them both and turns towards Dalton to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Dalton throws a head kick but Placek moves out of range.
Placek takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Dalton punishes Placek's body with a nice straight punch.

Dalton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Placek has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Dalton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Gibson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Good leg kick by Ramirez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ramirez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gibson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ramirez has time to react.
Ramirez throws a sloppy head kick
and Gibson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gibson swings for the body but Ramirez moves out of range.
Gibson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ramirez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ramirez throws a poor cross that misses
and Gibson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

letting Gibson counter with a right hand.

Ramirez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ramirez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ramirez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gibson.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gibson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Ramirez is rocked!
Gibson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ramirez falls backwards - clearly groggy! Gibson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
