The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batiatus throws a push kick but Kage slaps the foot to one side.
Batiatus throws a leg kick which misses Kage's front leg but catches the back leg as Kage tries to avoid it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Batiatus!
Kage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gnaeus Batiatus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kage shoots in for a takedown but Batiatus shows good takedown defense.
Kage chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Batiatus can pounce on him.
Batiatus misses with a body kick.
Batiatus buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Batiatus connects with a solid leg kick.

Kage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Stevenson feints and as Greene raises his hands in defense, Stevenson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keane Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Tomson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keane Kane had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
