Goryachev tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Labayen is in Goryachev's guard. Labayen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Goryachev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Labayen is one step ahead there. Goryachev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Labayen controls the pace. Goryachev trying to control the position here. Labayen showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Yaw Yan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dios swivels and escapes. Dios misses with a two punch combination.

Yan is trying to drag Dios to the mat but Dios just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A right handed body shot lands from Dios.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sabota shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lighting looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The referee warns Lighting that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sabota breaks from Lighting's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sabota fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Lighting is rocked! Lighting really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sabota is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Lighting goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Sabota!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rum thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rice if he has to take too many more of those.
No joy there for Rice, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Red Rum dominated that round. The cut man is working on Randy Rice's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rum rushes Rice and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Rum. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rum displaying some good clinch control by pressing Rice up against the cage. Rum misses with a knee strike.

Rice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rum slips a jab from Rice. Rum has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Rice looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
